In Pieces

A multimedia collaboration between Nathan Sawaya (Sculptor) and Dean West (Photographer). The project "In Pieces" is a series of tableau compositions based on ideas about nature, culture, society and more specifically, identity. The images have been constructed using modern photography techniques, combined with specially sculpted LEGO® objects placed within the scenes.

Watercolours by Elena Romanova

Born in Moscow and grown in London, Elena Romanova combined work in advertising industry and studying in Royal Acadeny School in her tender age. Few years later she set up a gallery and then through a series of exhibition appeared to represent Great Russian at the Venice Biennale in 2011. That's quite a good career and we hope to hear more from Elena, meanwhile enjoy her watercolours. http://www.etsy.com/people/PortLove

Naked Silhouette Alphabet

"The photographic series NAKED SILHOUETTE ALPHABET is a latin alphabet art, formed by the naked body and performance of experimental textures that depict the silhouette." says the creator Anastasia Mastrakouli

In this series the goal is to highlight the dialectical relationship between anatomy and visual arts. Each image displays the way in which the body turns into one illustrative and choreographic communication channel of a message. The body is cut off from its physical nature and is perceived as an imprint. The body shape becomes a letter through a deliberately abstract and other-worldly aesthetic.

Anamorphic Paintings by Felice Varini

No digital pixels were harmed while Felice created this huge anamorphic installations using only the paint and eye tricks. He has been creating these massive pieces since 1979; starting small with room based installations, but later growing to pieces that cover entire villages and require a hike up a mountain to properly appreciate. http://www.varini.org/

Let's dream about it with lucky Australian filmmaker Nathan Oldfield Over three years in the making, 'The Heart & The Sea' explores the joy that lies at the very centre of a surfing life: family, friends & a shared intimacy with the sea. Filmed in Australia, New Zealand, France & Spain, this is a gently refreshing & quietly enchanting contribution to the surf film genre. http://vimeo.com/49951982#

Graffiti of Speed / Mirror of Symmetry by Sinichi Higashi

Sinichi Higashi‘s series Graffiti of Speed/Mirror Symmetry takes street art to the next level as he symmetrically mirrors long exposure photographs to capture a rapturous, spaced-out view of Tokyo’s urban cityscape. His view is a fast-paced, futuristic world where ghostly flashes of bright lights form translucent, abstract lines and shapes that hover through the hard concrete and metal of the city’s engineering and urban plan. via

Bubble wrap art by Bradley Hart

Inspired by the bubble wrap I did my first bubble calendar ten years ago in uni, few years later I found the same idea in production spreading across the web. The bubble wrap obsession is a real stress reliever. But how about art? Bradley Hart armed with paint and injector creates these paintings. The result is a fantastic analog/digital picture fitting of our modern era.
