A simple idea. A consistent frame for a multitude of work. A single dot, each representing one collaborator, each a connection to another. Each collaborator is given a template of a dot in a fixed position on an A2 portrait poster. Each interpreted this in their own way.
What are the defining aesthetics of art in the networked era? How is mass collaboration changing notions of ownership in art? How does micropatronage change the way artists produce and distribute artwork? The Future of Art begins a conversation on these topics and invites your participation.

Today Rupert Murdoch, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of News Corporation, unveiled The Daily -- the industry’s first U.S. national daily news publication created from the ground up for iPad.
“News Corp. is redefining the news experience with The Daily,” says Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO. “We think it is terrific and iPad users are really going to embrace it.”
The Daily’s unique mix of text, photography, audio, video, information graphics, touch interactivity and real-time data and social feeds provides its editors with the ability to decide not only which stories are most important -- but also the best format to deliver these stories to their readers.
Each day The Daily will publish up to 100 pages focused on six key areas: news, sports, gossip and celebrity, opinion, arts and life, and apps and games. It will offer views from across the political spectrum. They will come from across cultures and generations, across America and the world.
Ontario based visual designer Zach Forrester get annoyed with outdated official design for Apple MacOSX Front Row application. So he came up with a new working prototype for unofficial interface concept and did it very well to make Front Row looks sleek and hype. Check his playground blog and found there a link to clickable html5 prototype. Pity that Apple will of course ignore his work :)
