The Constructivism Moscow Map

The New Moscow map designed by Baklazanas Studio celebrates Moscow architectural avant-garde heritage including workers' clubs, schools, factory kitchens, garages, communal housing, factories, bathhouses and even the first soviet crematorium and columbarium. It features 180 most stunning examples of Constructivist architecture in Moscow, both world-famous buildings (from Melnikov House and the Narkomfin Building to Shukhov Tower and Lenin's Mausoleum) and less known residential buildings and constructivist quarters and settlements within the limits of Moscow Ring Road

Six N. Five

The brainchild of our friend Andy Reisinger and Ezequiel Pini, Six N.Five is a young, contemporary art duo specialising in still life visuals with a clean, modern aesthetic; as the founders themselves put it – “exploring the frontier zone between art and design”. Apart from working on both advertising and editorial commissions, Andy & Eze also find time to create experimental work which is legitimising cgi as a new medium for creative self-expression.

The Underground Project by Co Partnership

Australian graphic design studio Co Partnership released a sleek and minimal project for local winery Hungerford Hill. Using simple solution by printing wine description on front label and stroking out unnecessary words they made a radical look for the whole package concept

"Primary" Branding by DIA Studio

New York based studio DIA  just completed a branding for wellness company Primary using generative graphic design approach

“We began collaborating with the Primary team before a space was secured, allowing the brand strategy and identity to help inform the overall feeling of the space. The Primary identity is based on specific color psychology. We developed a generative based platform that creates unique logos depending on desired moods or time of day. The mix of colors help shape the atmosphere of a room, office or specific piece of collateral. Different hues are used for different activities. For example, a Bikram yoga class would involve more heat and intensity than a meditation class, so the colors would vary accordingly. Additionally, each member or employee will be given an individual sphere matching their personality. The identity is a living and breathing experience that can evolve and change.”

Aizone by Sagmeister&Walsh

Last year Sagmeister & Walsh created 3d environments inspired by 2d pop art paintings with the help of body painter Anastasia Durasova and set builds by Sing-Sing. This year, along with the same team, they brought psychedelic and constructivist worlds to life, complete with trippy optical illusions and a pink painted horse. Images will be on billboards, in magazines, newspapers, and in stores across the middle east at Aizone stores.

Lance Wyman: The Visual Diaries 1973—1982

I still think I was lucky enough to speak a night through with that genius designer and just a great personality - Lance Wyman during the speakers dinner at the ocean on the end of the Earth during Trimarchi festival last September. I hope to meet Lance again during OFFF2017 where he is speaking next year revealing his huge experience in graphic design pioneering with Mexico'68 Olympics designs.

Every day Lance Wyman documents his creative process in his black “designlogs”. We are psyched to announce that awesome London based independent publisher United Edition are doing a collectible Diaries of Lance Wyman circa 1973—1982 years.

Modern Brands styled as they come from the USSR

As a kid born in the USSR I can't admit  I have a lot of nostalgia for that period but it definitely has a good examples of graphic design especially typography. Keeping this in mind Saint-Petersburg based designer Mike Levchenko approached the idea of rebranding famous global trade marks using so say "USSR" or "Soviet" style.

Under the Same Sun identity by OK-RM Studio

Design studio OK-RM has devised a striking graphic identity for Under the Same Sun, an exhibition of contemporary art from Latin America at the South London Gallery.

OK-RM created a new identity for the exhibition to coincide with its move to London. The design combines eye-popping brights with playful type and bold graphic shapes: OK-RM says it represents “an embedded energy in Latin American art and culture” and “a unique relationship with the Modernist canon.”
