Nick Cave "Wild God" Identity by OneTenEleven

Wild God is the eighteenth studio album by the Australian rock band Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, released on 30 August 2024 on PIAS.

Nick Cave’s marketing team approached OneTenEleven (lead by Antony Kitson you may remember from our Digital Decade events) in late 2023

Forming Wild God

When Nick shared his vision for Wild God, it was clear the name carried a deep, almost spiritual weight — dark yet full of hope. We embraced that feeling by keeping the design bold and minimal, like a sacred sculpture. The cover isn’t just graphic — it’s real, made from hand-placed, heat-molded white plastic letters, giving the title physical presence.

The Wild God Tour

For The Wild God Tour, the team developed a bold visual identity featuring variations of the title design across posters, banners, and billboards. An infinite colour-phasing animation served as the tour's intro, with large-scale screens integrated into each venue. Digital assets were delivered in multiple resolutions, and in collaboration between “Thunderwing & Nick Cave” and OneTenEleven, animated lyric visuals — personally curated by Nick Cave — were created to accompany live performances, reflecting his input on motion and colour direction.

For the 2020 launch of the Mars Rover, NASA asked House of van Schneider to design a symbol capturing the energy and legacy of space travel, while celebrating the engineers who worked tirelessly on this mission.

At once an abstract representation of the iconic rover and blocks reaching up to the sky, the logomark works as beautifully on the rover as it does on a 191-foot tall rocket ship.

When there is not so much left to unite there is a good case to start again from uniting some common things. And the visual identity for The United Sodas of America is a minimalist yet ultimately democratic design approach to do so. Conceived by a Brooklyn-based studio Center, it was inspired by America’s diversity and complexity.

“Following the belief that variety sparks unity, the designers imagined a palette of 12 bold, solid colors complemented with a versatile sans-serif font. Each taste is strongly reflected with the right shade – from Young Mango to Blackberry Jam. This approach to branding reflects on how political can drive aesthetics in the quest for a better world.”

Porsche Sportscar Together Day identity by Roma Erohnovich

Russian team of designers lead by art director Roma Erohnovich shared their latest case - visual identity for Porsche Sportscar Together Day that happened in Moscow.

“Today, the very word "Porsche" is pretty much a synonym for motorsport. It is a special ideology and a distinctive unique approach to design. 70 years ago, Ferdinand Porsche, a designer himself, laid the foundation for the brand's DNA and expressed the brand's core values. On June 8, 1948, Porsche 356 "No. 1" Roadster kicked up the road dust for the first time.”

“Porsche Sportscar Together Day is an international festival and a tribute to a significant event — the launch date of the very first Porsche car. It was held in Russia in September 2019. At the Moscow Raceway, Porsche enthusiasts opened the racing season, witnessed the premiere of the new 911 and Cayenne Coupé, celebrated the 5th anniversary of the Porsche Experience Center, soaked up the sports atmosphere and spirit, and marked the road with their brake tracks.”

“The main challenge of this project was, first and foremost, to work on the brand’s field, combining different branches of visual communication of Cayenne Coupé, 911, Sportscar Together Day, and Porshe Motorsport. Using a minimal amount of graphic tools, we created the identity for the festival, POSM design, staff uniforms, interior and exterior design of the location, and cars.”

“As a starting point, we used the cult of sports aesthetics and notable design techniques that have already become somewhat of a fetish in the Motorsport fans world. We thought, what if we designed a badge, a track map, a garage box, and staff hoodies as if we were creating a sports car wrap? That is why all the materials have a single principle in their core. It is fully revealed in the key visual where the new Cayenne Coupé is wrapped in the signature graphics of a festival just like a race car would be.”

Norr Packaging by Slava Vovk

Russian designer Slava Vovk shared his latest branding work made for NORR. It is a producer of canned seafood from Sweden, 100% natural product from the north, nothing more and nothing less. The assortment consists of large and small species of marine fish, as well as delicacies, delicious mollusks and crabs.

"NORR" in Swedish means "north", the name sets the atmosphere of minimalism, as a guide for the design of the entire packaging line.

LOGOS Identity by Roma Erohnovich

“Logos” is a computational and mathematical package used for modelling physical processes in aviation and automotive industries, nuclear power, rocket and space industry. This is the first digital product presented by Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation, the Russian Federal Nuclear Center and the All-Russian Research Institute of Experimental Physics.

“Logos” identity is a modern fresh twist on Russian design, with all its history and well-established principles. It represents a cult-like dry technical design and emotional Russian soul, it is function multiplied by feeling, a geek engineer who found the meaning of life in formulas.

Visual language techniques were borrowed from technical design. The aesthetics of simple layouts, infographics, technical fonts, and procedural design are reflected in the corporate font, iconography, and layout principles. A signature element is a heat map that reflects the idea of a function and brings color and emotion into the dry technical design. It gives us the opportunity to look at the product through the eyes of an engineer, as well as it reflects the objectives of the product that are modeling of physical processes.

Bushe by Suprematika

Moscow-based Suprematika agency (lead by Vova Lifanov) created a concept rebranding for leading bakery of Saint Petersburg - @BUSHE.Bakery. The message of campaign - a word play “Eat Real - There is Now” which has same meaning in Russian “Есть Настоящее” was wrapped in the visual flow of food forms and urban patterns, found only in StPete. This work has recently won “Graphite Pencil” at D&AD 2019 - the 20th pencil ever awarded for Russia (@D_and_AD).

Snask Studio comes back with a new branding case made for consulting bureau Umbrella. Female founded and powered by two rising stars, Umbrella is rocking the consultant industry.

“We started out by visualizing the vision of the brand by choosing a strong and beautiful color scheme using a pale pink and a candy red along with off-white. We also chose a bold and strong display typeface to communicate strong messages and tag lines. With statements like “When we shine we shine together” and “Come play with us” the step to take the identity out into reality wasn’t far, but we also decided to do some 3D-animations to further elevate the brand.
