Google's "Deep Dream" Artificial Visual Machine

Last month, Google revealed that it uses its own artificial intelligence program, known as Artificial Neural Networks, to classify and sort its images.

The technology basically works by spotting patterns in pictures in order to identify them - and it's already being used in Google's new photos app to recognise faces and animals. You can follow #deepdream for more weirdness

SLOCHE - The First Glitch Drink

Whatever advertising campaign is this I want this SLOCHE drink now. The first Sloche campaign produced by Havas Worldwide Canada marks a strategic shift for Couche-Tard's iconic product. It showcases the brand instead of a particular flavor

A Corrupt Nature by Maciek Jasik

"Las Vegas expands upon these myths by serving as the symbol of conquered Nature, a city where casinos rise like mountains, each borrowing from the fabled Venice, Paris, New York, ancient Egypt and Rome. Along with Nature, time and place have been overcome; this is a total victory where anything is possible—a template for cities like Dubai or Abu Dhabi. In ‘A Corrupt Nature’ our traditional viewpoint of Las Vegas is flipped. Our focus is sets of lonely, forgotten trees and strange piles of detritus resembling pyramids, the casinos far in the background. Immediately, we’re reminded of the barren landscape that preceded our arrival. Through the use of color, these elements transcend their ordinary appearance and become symbols of Nature’s inherent power and endurance, patiently outlasting eras and species."

OFFF Barcelona 2015 Main Titles by Signalnoise and Onesize

After Hector Ayuso had put Onesize in touch with graphic artist James White (aka Signalnoise) to collaborate on OFFF Barcelona 2015 Main Titles, the question arose: "How will the styles ever mix?" They chose to give the audience a souvenir by printing the titles in the form of a card deck. Fifty three designs were made by James White and his team (back in Canada), while Onesize developed two 80s TV Commercials, selling the card deck and promising a better life for dysfunctional families. This film tells a story about Jason, a boy who bought this deck of cards 30 years ago as a last resort to save his family. It all turned out quite different for him and he blames Sean - the kid in the commercials - whose "no losers, only winners” catchphrase has eaten through Jason’s life like a cancer. Now, in present time, Jason’s journey of revenge is coming to a close. Before the film was shown to the audience at the festival, over 2000 printed versions of the card game where handed out to every single person in the room as "take-away titles".

Virtual Topographies Of Jhovany Quiroz

We are getting close to the open contest of Designcollector Digital Decade + OFFF15 (will announce soon), that will explore Glitch in its beauty this May. Meanwhile dig the exploding, virtual topographies of Jhovany Quiroz. Starting with a single image, he deconstructs 3D terrain using commonplace imaging apps. From the iPhone Camera and Photo Editor, to Mextures (for layers, light leaks, and emulsion effects) and Glitché (for three-dimensional imaging), his digital arsenal yields artworks that resemble what we imagine it would look like if a stick of dynamite was sucked into a black hole.

Last Voyage Game

Inspired (or not) by the most beautiful game Monument Valley guys from SEMIDOME released the LAST VOYAGE. A cinematic experience inspired by science-fiction movies, each chapter is visually unique and explores an original concept with completely new game mechanics. Go through psychedelic portals, explore grand minimal forms, solve mind-bending puzzles or race against the stars. While these chapters form a continuous narrative, the players are constantly surprised with new ways to interact as they seamlessly transition from one chapter to another.
