Since 2003
Russian-born fashion photographer Nikolay Biryukov is currently based in London. He works between London, Moscow, Paris and Milan shooting mainly fashion stories for a range of international magazines. Recent work includes editorials for magazines such as Elle Ukraine, Interview Russia, L'Officiel, Stylist UK, SNC, and many other. I personally admire Nikolay's website as an example of perfect photographer's portfolio - no flash, previews and etc. Just pure awesome HD images.

"In March of 2012, I was awarded an artist's residency by the United States National Park Service in southern California’s Joshua Tree National Park. While staying in the Park, I spent much of my time visiting the borderlands of the park and the areas where the low Sonoran desert meets the high Mojave desert. While hiking and driving, I caught glimpses of the border space created by the meeting of distinct ecosystems in juxtaposition, referred to as the Edge Effect in the ecological sciences. To document this unique confluence of terrains, I hiked out a large mirror and painter’s easel into the wilderness and captured opposing elements within the environment. Using a single visual plane, this series of images unifies the play of temporal phenomena, contrasts of color and texture, and natural interactions of the environment itself." - Daniel Kukla

Inspired by Bob Dylan´s Subterranean Homesick Blues video, where he flips cards with the lyrics as the song plays, Leandro Senna decided to recreate those cards with handmade type. He ended up doing all the lyrics, and not just some of the words, as Dylan did.

This time we will take a look at his latest contribution to the Olympic that shifted the image of the Olympic Fire - London 2012 Cauldron.

We have been supporting TOCA ME Design Conference for ages, now it is a time to make a Next Stop Design in Munich, 2013! On February 16th, 2013 TOCA ME design conference will take place in Munich‘s Alte Kongresshalle for its sixth time with renown speakers from all over the world. The goal of the event under the claim „Next Stop Design“ is a critical evaluation of design as well as the connection of the Munich design and creative scene with the international design centers.
Amongst the speakers of TOCA ME design conference are Zach Lieberman, digital artist, performer and co-founder of Open Frameworks, and Amit Pitaru, musician, artist and developer - both from New York. Furthermore, the french artist collective Pleix, type designer Andreu Balius from Barcelona and visual artist Memo Akten from London give insights into the processes and techniques of their creations.
Real exchange instead of virtual networking will take place in the lounge where the participants of the TOCA ME design conference have the opportunity to get to know each other, to exchange ideas and to finish the evening in a chill-out atmosphere with live DJ‘s after the end of the presentations (ca. 22:00). The TOCA ME design conference is an important venue of the Munich CreativeBusiness Week (MCBW) taking place from 16th till 24th February 2013. TOCA ME design conference is funded by bayern design and the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Infrastructure, Transport and Technology. The event is also supported by Eventwürze and Designerdock. Organizer of the Design Conference is the Munich-based design studio TOCA ME, which operates in the fields of print, web and event design for the last 10 years.
