“The residents are collaborators and their apartments are lit specifically to make these pictures, which explore a defining urban experience: becoming secretly familiar with the neighbors’ most intimate moments.”
Artist Sougwen Chung built a robot arm that draws in harmony with her in order to gain a better understanding of how humans relate to robots. With the project, dubbed "Drawing Operations Unit" (or DOUG for short), she hopes to counter the prevailing media representations of robots as adversarial to their human counterparts.
