The Art of Ping Pong and @creativedebuts invite you to celebrate this year’s exhibition and auction in aid of @Trekstock

For the fifth year running, The Art of Ping Pong has asked 27 artists to customise a ping pong bat to be auctioned for charity. This year’s charity is Trekstock, which provides social and practical support for people with cancer in their 20s and 30s across the UK.

Uijung Kim, originally from South Korea now lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. Uijung studied Art and Design at Gunsan University, South Korea and illustration at the College for creative studies in Detroit, MI, USA. Inspired by her childhood experiences and the family and friends she grew up with her work is strongly rooted in Korean culture through colour, tone and narrative. Uijung likes making people happy and wants her work to speak to a kid of all ages.

Guy behind "Hate Mail" and "quintessentially English" artist Mr Bingo (he once called us the peniscollector) is back again with his new Advert Calendar for December 2017. Same as last year approach, Mr Bingo called for the internet to crowdfund his new calendar with a simple challenge “NUDES WANTED, would you like to feature in my 2017 advent calendar?"

“Sorting through the applicants was a big job, I spent about 4 days stalking the 260 people online, looking for images of them and made a big spreadsheet of every single person, where they were in the world and a brief description of what they looked like. Then I somehow whittled it down to 25 people, trying to get as many different types of people represented.”

Polish artist, BEZT (Etam Cru) has a show opening on Saturday in New York at SPOKE NYC, curated by Los Angeles-based gallery, Thinkspace. “Beautiful Mistakes” showcases BEZT ‘s melancholic storytelling through a series of paintings and drawings. He’s largely known for his massive murals painted with Sainer, the other half of the Etam Cru duo, so it’s only fitting that in addition to the exhibition, BEZT will be painting his first mural in New York City.

Marcel Lisboa - one of the ten winners of our recent Ello x Digital Decade 5 open contest became a base of Phygital Art Exhibition held in London last month at Ugly Duck

Graphic designer Marcel Lisboa, living and working in São Paulo/Brazil, uses digital means to create his utterly unique illustrations; all of which expressions of private worlds that reveal a distinct story and invite endless contemplation.
Through digital collage the artist reflects his key inspirations: the Renaissance, the Baroque and Neoclassicism. But by shunning the usual genealogy of the Dadaists, Lisboa creates an unique aesthetic based on stunning draftsmanship and evocative scenography.

Jean Jullien illustrates John Lennon’s Imagine lyrics for a book

Jean Jullien has illustrated Imagine, the first picture book set to John Lennon’s original lyrics. The book has a foreword by Yoko Ono Lennon and was created in collaboration with Amnesty International to “inspire a new generation to imagine a world at peace”. It will be published on 21 September to coincide with the UN’s International Day of Peace.
