Millennial's new media artist Tasha Alakoz based in St Petersburg works easily with commercial brands vanishing them in her personal way of colourful fashion selfies. We adore this balance that definitely requires a lot of will power and creativity and hope to see her speaking about that experience on some festivals like OFFF.

SSENSE commissioned Thomas Traum studio to create a short CGI film to reveal the technological splendor of the Homme Plissé Issey Miyake Spring 2016 Collection. We reimagined the clothing focusing on the line’s innovation on textiles and cut.
"Our idea was inspired by the simplicity of Issey Miyake’s clothes, expressed in particular through the images created by Irving Penn for Miyake’s collections in the ‘80s. In our film, we wanted to create a modern high-tech take of their approach, but keeping the spirit of these images created decades earlier. We wanted to strip the film back to the core essence: Clothes as a container and amplifier of the human body in movement."

The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (MFA) commissioned Nervous System to create a new dress for the exhibition #techstyle, which runs from March 6 through July 10, 2016. The exhibition explores the synergy between fashion and technology and how it is not only changing the way designers design, but also the way people interact with their clothing. Inspired by petals, feathers, and scales, we developed a new textile language for Kinematics where the interconnected elements are articulated as imbricating shells.

"Every day we are surrounded by data generated by our presence in environments saturated with digital technologies and touch screens. Glitch Textiles, a textile design label originated by Brooklyn-based graphic artist Phillip David Stearns, showcases a stunning set of functional, colourful artworks that bridge the gap between woven textiles and digital art, all designed and inspired by algorithms.
The project explores the histories of woven image making and modern digital technologies, transcoding the computer glitches into stunning garments and functional fabrics. Phillip, whose significant projects include a series of experiments on imaging making and the digital realms, tries to create a dialogue about the influence of digital technologies/material and how they will affect how we live our lives in the future."

Citing The Creators Project: Created by design and animation studio Zeitguised, it features algorithmic design in the style of fashion textiles. "We have a background in sculpture and fashion design, and wanted to make this design project for years. We felt that algorithmic design is underrepresented in fashion still, due to approaches that are either too nerdy or executions that don't work,” says Henrik Mauler of Zeitguised. "We wanted to change that, and bring more design thinking to making patterns with algorithms.” In combining digital art with fashion and textiles, geist.xyz exists in the realm of the hyperrealistic-unreal, and imagines a future in which the very clothes on our backs could be a digital canvas. "We also want to see these patterns being worn, and wear them ourselves—even if self-transforming textiles don't exist yet to the extent that we show,” says Mauler. "We just simply didn't want to wait for it."
