The central allegory of Mortality and Time - skull - may never loose its trend in art. Skull is a main subject of Tom French's figurative drawings. In his works he carefully combines detailed photorealism with strong elements of abstraction and surrealism, focusing on the reflection of the conscious and subconscious mind. His work seamlessly merges the use of academic tradition with contemporary urban realism.
RIP 1982 - 2019 :(
We have been following hyper realistic art of Argentinian artist Diego Gravinese since his appearance online. He did few new works since our last visit, worth to see and enjoy.
Cecilia Paredes was born in Lima, Peru, and lives and works in San Jose and Philadelphia, United States. Her recent photographic work is a conspicuous exploration of sensual surfaces in which the body is deliberately confused with nature and nature with the body.
Paredes’ photography demonstrates that the body of the woman – her own body – is a sacred zone, not profane, to restore its perception as something miraculous amidst the technological chaos that currently surrounds us. The body is revealed as a tool, a space for signs, and a creation that is intimately connected to our surrounding natural environments.
Another talented illustrator and graphic designer from Germany, Michael Schmid. His portfolio shows his creations in vintage style with a beautiful work of typography and photo-manipulation. The whole thing gives pretty posters with music inspiration: New York, Depeche Mode or Daft Punk.
