On 13th April 2013, London held the 5th Annual Tweed Run.Photographer ANTON made a shoot (using analogue camera and Polaroid) on this date calling it #PhotoDay. The day about creating a connected body of work, linking local people, their environment, shared passions and the rest of the online world.
Tweed Run is a group bicycle ride through the centre of London, in which the cyclists are expected to dress in traditional British cycling attire. Any bicycle is acceptable on the Tweed Run, but classic vintage bicycles are encouraged. Some effort to recreate the spirit of a bygone era is always appreciated.
We also have Tweed Run in Saint-Petersburg but there is no dates yet.

Thierry Cohen is seen as one of the pioneers of digital photography. Since 2010 he has devoted himself to a single project – “Villes Eteintes” (Darkened Cities) – which depicts the major cities of the world as they would appear at night without light pollution, or in more poetic terms: how they would look if we could see the stars. (via BD)
To make the work he combines two photographs, one with the retouched night city and second with the sky in a same angle of the cityscape and latitude just where it is possible to see the stars like the Mojave, the Sahara, and the Atacama Desert.

"The photographic series NAKED SILHOUETTE ALPHABET is a latin alphabet art, formed by the naked body and performance of experimental textures that depict the silhouette." says the creator Anastasia Mastrakouli
In this series the goal is to highlight the dialectical relationship between anatomy and visual arts. Each image displays the way in which the body turns into one illustrative and choreographic communication channel of a message. The body is cut off from its physical nature and is perceived as an imprint. The body shape becomes a letter through a deliberately abstract and other-worldly aesthetic.

Sinichi Higashi‘s series Graffiti of Speed/Mirror Symmetry takes street art to the next level as he symmetrically mirrors long exposure photographs to capture a rapturous, spaced-out view of Tokyo’s urban cityscape. His view is a fast-paced, futuristic world where ghostly flashes of bright lights form translucent, abstract lines and shapes that hover through the hard concrete and metal of the city’s engineering and urban plan. via
