Jennifer Healy Illustration

The daily dream catcher Jennifer Healy uses her Faber-Castells pencil and tablet's pen to mesmerize the viewer with eye-catchy portraits from a deep fairy fantasies. Good Deeds Fair mapping

Russian mapping masters from Sila Sveta did it again. This time it was a New Year visual fairy tale for kids "Good Deeds Fair" mapped on Victory Memorial in Moscow sponsored by monopolist bank (it's really strange when a customer in Russia can't stay with only a logo at the end and just be a sponsor but not a main hero dressed in corporate colours and a savior in this fairy tale).

Tweetping

Tweetping is a freshly launched data visualisation of all Twitter activity on Earth, and the site's epic concept has a beautiful execution to back it up. Created by French web designer Franck Ernweinan, Tweetping represents every tweet in the world as a bright pixel of light against a dark density map. The planet sparkles with social media content in realtime. There’s even a dashboard of streaming global statistics and hashtags, broken down by continent.via

3D UV Thread Installations by Jeongmoon Choi

Berlin-based Korean artist Jeongmoon Choi redefines a space with her incredibly eye-catching light and thread installations. All of Choi's spacial constructs allow audiences to roam within the rooms illuminated by spectacular UV lights. Many of the artist's works project abstract forms, creating an illusionary geometric matrix of woven string that stretch across the expanse of the exhibition site. The installations create a visual playground filled with colors, shapes, and an immeasurable liveliness for visitors to get lost in. A collection of Choi's work is currently showing as part of her solo exhibition titled Dialogue Lineaire in Paris at Galerie Laurent Mueller through January 26, 2013.

Thomas Barbey illusion art

"In every location Thomas Barbey has traveled to, he has taken photographs. He uses the pictures to create artistic montages of a imaginary concepts, which are technically made with a combination of negatives, pre-planned double exposures, and/or other methods. His work is heavily inspired by his travels, everyday life, and art by Rene Magritte, M.C. Escher, and Roger Dean." via Illusion Scene360

Iris van Herpen

To promote Dutch fashion designer Iris van Herpen’s new collection “Voltage” Geoffrey Lilemon and Joost Korngold directed a short trailer. The idea was to represent the collection through a ghost or apparition made of strings and harps haunting the halls of a grand palace, environments made of the same fragile reflective glass material. The film was finished with production support by Random Studio. Geoffrey Lillemon met Iris van Herpen during Paris Fashion week where a discussion sparked about directing a video for her by merging hi-end technology with art and fashion. This led to bringing in Joost Korngold, who is well known for abstract 3d and particle artwork that would suit well stylistically to join in the production.

From there Breek stepped in to give the shapes life by adding intricate sound design to articulate them as instruments. The final piece was a celebration of various different disciplines and ideas brought into one beautiful experience.

Origami and Mapping by Joanie Lemercier

We were happy that had a small talk with talented visual artist Joanie Lemercier known as a part of AntiVJ team. Joanie shows his latest projection mapping on wall mounted paper origami. My name is Joanie Lemercier, I'm a visual artist and my work is based around light projected onto 3 dimensional canvases. Over the past few year I've been working a lot with architecture, and projection mapping onto facades with the visual label AntiVJ (www.antivj.com), but lately I've been exploring much smaller structures, experimenting with pencil, paper, tape and projected light.

This piece is a result of a short residency I did in a gallery space near Birmingham (UK) a few weeks ago. All I used was A4 paper, folded into 7 different sizes pyramids, and taped to the wall. I really like using a very basic geometric shape, and repeat it several times to create more organic structures. I then use a video projector to map the light onto the structure and to animate the composition. I am now working on similar pieces on a much smaller scale made of porcelain.

Garden Fresh by Agan Harahap

Indonesia-based photographer Agan Harahap made intriguing photography series titled Garden Fresh placing wild animals in supermarkets

It is like a fable about a journey undertaken by the animals when they venture into our daily lives. The animals are confronted by a new reality that is in conflict with their natural habits and habitats… The animals are stripped of their own identities and are used as empty vessels to be filled with the human drama of parody, satire and allegory. We cannot help but see animals from a human vantage point, and therefore in some sense all the works in the present exhibition are actually about us.
