Our friend and multi talented artist Sougwen Chung released all information about her latest installation "Ecdysis" ECDYSIS is an immersive audio-visual installation depicting biological and architectural adaptation. In Ecdysis, kinetic light, scored by ambient sound, is cast on 36 interwoven planes, suspended in space by their tensional integrity.
Ecdysis is a culmination of contrasts, tracing across gradients of the geometric and organic, the digital and the physical, the melodic and the dissonant. Viewers of the piece are invited to walk within the installation to experience the piece from multiple perspectives, rejecting the notion of audience as passive spectator as they themselves become enveloped forms within the world of Ecdysis.

Russian architectural bureau Ruetemple designed a studio presented on local TV interior show. The project is made for a students living in overpriced Moscow suburbs. The space featuring mansard roof is rebuilt to fit net-beds and a magic black cube transformer that designed to serve as a mobile recreation zone. Check the full set on Ruetemple website

"New York City skate label 5Boro have added a set of throwback skate decks to their repertoire, following on from their pack of decks in collaboration with Brooklyn’s Smith Street Tattoo Parlour. Inspired by the artwork adorning VHS tapes in the early ’90s, the crew have issued eight decks whose artwork will be instantly recognizable to almost anyone born before 1990. Embrace was a 72 ft wooden, cathedral-like sculpture of two human figures, “in celebration of all our relationships”. The site-specific artwork was created by the Pier Group for Burning Man 2014.It was the largest project to date for the Pier Group, which gained acclaim for its previous Burning Man installations The Pier, Pier 2, and the Ichthyosaur Puppet Project. Crews began construction on Embrace in October 2013 at the Generator community art space in Reno, and in studios in Vancouver and Portland. During this year’s festival the massive wooden sculpture was set aflame and Trey Ratcliff was on hand to capture the incredible moment. Brazilian graffiti artists Os Gemeos turns six multi-story silos on Granville Island into their trademark ‘Giants.’ The murals on the 70-foot towers are now the largest paintings ever attempted by the pair, an astounding feat considering Os Gemeos completely donated a month of their time to create the non-profit art project. An Indiegogo fundraising campaign to recoup costs associated with painting the silos has been extremely successful.

Apart from new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus release Apple did a new step in wearable technology (right after Pebble kickstarted it as a true indie pioneer). Meet Apple Watch hence not iWatch, that is a true piece of engineering genius. Coming in two sizes and expecting in earlier 2015 Apple Watch "Apple has added a navigational tool called a “digital crown” which is the dial (normally found on traditional watches to adjust time) to zoom or scroll. The digital crown also acts as a home button when pressed to return or exit out of apps. The screen is still touch-enabled to swipe through the screens of an app or draw. It can also recognize between taps and clicks by detecting force.
Apple Watch comes with Siri, shareable heartbeat and animated and customizable emojis.
The watch also works as a “comprehensive health and fitness device” with its equipped heart monitor, gyroscope and accelerometer. It comes with a three-ring activity monitoring system to remind and encourage the wearer to be more active to reach daily goals.
Apple will open the WatchKit SDK for third-party developers to create functionalities on the Apple Watch. Upcoming third-party features include tapping to check in to an American Airlines flight, tapping or waving the clock to unlock your room at SPG hotels and Nest thermostat control from the watch." text via TNW

Eden is a film directed by Mia Hansen-Løve. It focuses on the rise of electronic music in France, and it stars Greta Gerwig. The film features portrayals of several real world DJs, most prominently Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter, aka Daft Punk.
The film premieres this Sunday at the Toronto International Film Festival. According to TIFF, the film also features music from Frankie Knuckles. Here's their description: "Paul (Félix de Givry) is a teenager in the underground dance music scene of early-nineties Paris. Raves dominate, but he’s drawn to the more soulful rhythms of Chicago’s garage house scene. He and a friend form a DJ duo called—with unfathomable layers of irony—Cheers. Two of their friends form a group with a similarly odd name: Daft Punk. These young artists plunge into the life, building their following one set at a time, dropping out of daytime society to form a community based on the high of the ceaseless beats and bass. There are drugs. There is sex. Paul hooks up with an American in Paris, played by the spirited Greta Gerwig (also appearing at the Festival in The Humbling), but that may be fleeting."

Living on the edge has never been so close until we found this Cliff House concept designed by Australian architects at Modscape
From the website: "A five storey modular home clings to the side of a cliff in this conceptual design by Modscape. The Cliff House is a design response for Emma and David, a couple who approached Modscape to explore design options for a holiday home on an extreme parcel of land they own on the south-west coast of Victoria. Inspired by the way barnacles cling to the hull of a ship, a concept was developed for a modular home to hang off the side of a cliff as opposed to sitting on top of it. The home is visualised as a natural extension of the cliff face rather than an addition to the landscape, creating an absolute connection with the ocean. As the design itself would make conventional construction prohibitive, the concept utilises Modscape’s modular design and prefabrication technologies to deliver a series of stacked modules that are anchored into the cliff face using engineered steel pins. Entry to the home is through a carport on the top floor, where a lift vertically connects you through each of the descending living spaces. Internally, the living spaces feature minimalistic furnishings to ensure that the transcendent views of the ocean and the unique spatial experience of the location remain the integral focal point of the design."
