"Filmmaker Eric Hines does a phenomenal job of making us look good here in the windy city with his most recent timelapse, Cityscape Chicago. The clip consists of over 30,000 still photographs taken between July and October of this year primarily around the bustling downtown areas including the financial district, Navy pier, Wacker drive and the lakefront." - via Colossal

The moment I am still impressed from what I saw on Mr.Frivolous portfolio. His simple, hence striking, portraits created by using only pencils and felt-tip pens and seems he spends an overnight to create each piece. The speed of drawing, techniques, drafts and later original prints, creates the unique atmosphere while surfing his Flickr account. It is enjoyable.
Hungarian Fine Art Student Bence Hajdu has re-edited some of the most famous paintings like ‘The last supper’ by Leonardo da Vinci or Jacques-Louis David’s ‘Oath of the Horatii’ by erasing the main characters out of the painting. A pure state of silence. I bet that while looking at them one's trained visual brains may start recreating the masterpieces from a scratch.
First, magician and illusionist and only then a Fine Art photographer from LA - Brooke Shaden gained a close attention from audience and media. "I create images that are rooted in reality yet have qualities that are not from our world. I create the worlds I wish we lived in, and I tell the stories that live inside my mind." http://www.flickr.com/photos/brookeshaden/ http://www.shadenproductions.com/
Around this time last year, it was revealed that Steve Jobs had been designing his very own luxury yacht before his death. Jobs had been collaborating with renowned French designer Philippe Starck on the project. On one hand all this news has a taste of bitterness, on the other we'd liked Jobs to overcome all that storms around Apple nowadays right on this beautiful yacht.

OKO is a puzzle video game. The goal is to reconstruct an image by stopping rotating circles cut out from this image. For each level, the animated pieces draw increasingly complex patterns. The challenge is to be attentive to image juxtapositions in order to stop the circles movement at the right moment. The game developed by Nadezda Suvorova (concept and design), Jérémie Forge (sound design) and Pierre Rossel/Nadezda Suvorova (development) Download it for iPad from iTunes App Store: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/oko/id524351381?mt=8

The history of Sony Music is charted in a typographic timeline installed in the company's London HQ, created by designer Alex Fowkes. The huge wall graphic features the names of nearly 1,000 artists signed to the major label and its affiliates, beginning with the foundation of Columbia Phonograph Company in 1887, to recent signings Post War Years and A$AP Rocky. The Sony Music Timeline celebrates 125 years of musical history covering almost 150 square meters of wall space in Sony’s Derry Street headquarters. Using just CNC cut vinyl as the sole medium, 54 columns measuring over 2 meters tall cover feature nearly 1000 of Sony Music's signed artists from 1887 to the present day.
Emma Pike, VP Industry Relations, who commissioned the piece said, “The brief was to bring the inspiration of our music into the heart of our building and make our office space live and breathe our incredible musical legacy. Alex’s beautiful graphics and illustrations do exactly that.”

At first glance a traditional-looking palm-sized volume, 360° Book by Yusuke Ono (Noiz Architects partner) opens full-circle, transforming into a modern diorama. The book was the winner of the You Fab 2012 laser cutter design contest, based in Tokyo. Speaking about the project Yusuke said, "I am so thrilled to have been selected as the winner of the Free Fab category for You Fab 2012. I like finding new ways to express dimension, and it occurred to me to create this palm-sized book that opens out to form a 3D world. I hope that everyone who opens the book enjoys it and is surprised by the dramatic transformation."
