Rune Guneriussen, born 1977, in Norway. Education from Surrey Institute of Art & Design in England. Live and work in eastern Norway. He is an artist working in the transition between installation and photography. As a conceptual artist he works site specific, primarily in nature.The work on objects started in 2005, and has been photographed on locations all over Norway.

Portraits Drawn with Tea, Vodka, Whiskey and Ink by Carne Griffiths

UK-based illustrator Carne Griffiths creates these striking portraits with uncommon mediums such as tea, brandy, vodka, whiskey, graphite and calligraphy ink. His drawings most frequently explore human and floral forms, as says he’s “fascinated by the flow of line and the ‘invisible lines’ that connect us to the natural world.” The four pieces above are part of a limited edition postcard set just released by Griffiths, each of which comes in a fancy custom-illustrated, wax-sealed envelope.

One astronaut’s journey through space and life ends on a hostile exosolar planet. Grounded is a metaphorical account of the experience, inviting unique interpretation and reflection by the viewer. Themes of aging, inheritance, paternal approval, cyclic trajectories, and behaviors passed on through generations are explored against an ethereal backdrop.

Augmented Reality continues to seep into popular culture, this installment the ARART iPhone app by Kei Shiratori, Takeshi Mukai & Younghyo Bak. The Japanese artist collective brings famous artwork to virtual life via point-and-see animation. Paintings like the Mona Lisa and album art like Radiohead's Kid A come to life, nodding and spinning when viewed through the filter of the iPhone screen.

Jordan Metcalf Typography

Cape Town based graphic designer and artist Jordan Metcalf was asked by Boston Magazine to create a toolkit for their 2012 ‘Best of Boston’ issue. The work includes a lock-up for the table of contents, an opening DPS for the section, and various sub-section headers. via Trendland
