Road Inc. app
The beauty of the cars from the past revealed in this nice app. An experience designed like a digital, interactive museum, Road Inc. plunges the user into a universe of cars that have reached legendary status. The app is paid but I think it's worth of it.

Nacho Diaz illustration
The hidden/double meaning illustration from spaniard Nacho Diaz reminds me the comedy illustrations by Glenn Jones. Having a special touch for character design Nacho creates amazing pieces of illustrations with creativity and originality that combines quality and humor.

Poly app
We dig this! Poly app let you draw with points and turn your pictures into geometric array of colours.
This project is inspired by the Triangulation invented by the mathematician Boris Delaunay in 1934. While the process behind is complicated, the result reduce an image to its essentials, creating the illusions of triangles, prisms and pyramids.

Hi Organic
Nokia GEM concept phone
We like crazy concepts especially when it comes to Nokia Concept Lab.
Nokia GEM which revolutionizes mobile design by turning the entire handset into a touchscreen.

The GEM device changes appearance from camera to phone or map according to the function selected by the user. It could even display advertising messages on the back of the phone.
The back and front are also interactive, making it possible to pinch and zoom the rear of the phone while getting a constant clear view of the image on the front.

Michael Peck art
"Michael Peck’s artistic practice is concerned with the sensation of disorientation and dislocation that is often felt within the post modern world. Exploring issues regarding the loss of cultural identity, his work particularly focuses on the effects within minority groups and individuals existing on the fringe who are challenged to assimilate within the larger community."

Space & surface by Dopludo Collective
We spotted a nice projects made by Egor Kraft and Karina Eibatova who are together with Lesha Galkin share Dopludό Collective. They were commissioned by Sydney's shopping center and went to Australia to work on murals for their new stores. The way they explore and use the Space metaphors in their work made us to post another (and this time a motion) piece by Egor Kraft - "Beyond The Surface".
"Beyond The Surface" by Egor Kraft
"The video is a visual metaphor of existential freedom, predominance of essence over existence, and conditionality of boundaries it also has a sculptural dimension related to the evolution of form. The space as a black absolute presented as an allegory of authentic freedom as well as the narrative links to the discourse of how the consciousness and existence are related to each other."

Garamond 450
I wish I could read on French but here is a website to celebrate Garamond typeface 450th anniversary. Created in 1461 by Claude Garamont it comes through the ages and still fits the modern life of typography and design. Long life Garamond!

VIB
"VIB is a life sciences research institute, based in Flanders, Belgium. They perform basic research with a strong focus on translating scientific results into pharmaceutical, agricultural and industrial applications. For their fifteenth anniversary, we did the entire event branding, for which we used only chalk and a huge blackboard. For this event we also designed a box with nine books in it. For the books only we made more then 200 large chalk drawings."

Truth and Lies by Justin Barber
A poster series by Justin Barber
This humorous poster series takes some of the most common, everyday lies we tell ourselves and hear from others, and bluntly translates them into the unequivocal truth. By visually representing the difference in what we often say but secretly mean, Truth and Lies uncovers the inane conversational nuances that reveal paradoxical dichotomies in our otherwise ordinary life. In other words, this is what you say, but (this is what you mean) - and we all know it.

BHSAD Students Challenge by Designcollector
BHSAD + DESIGNCOLLECTOR NETWORK
Collaboration between Moscow based British Higher School Of Art & Design and Designcollector Network (DCN).
Students from Interactive and New Media design courses. Tutor: Dmitry Karpov
BHSAD tutor Dmitry Karpov and Designcollector founder Arseny Vesnin challenged Interactive & New Media course (aka "Interactopus") students to come up with a visual interpretation for Designcollector's digital culture values. The results trespass the bounds of a figurative graphic design and touch the cutting edge of digital art.
This is a first step in a partnership between leading Russian design media and institution.
