Good Deeds Fair mapping

Russian mapping masters from Sila Sveta did it again. This time it was a New Year visual fairy tale for kids "Good Deeds Fair" mapped on Victory Memorial in Moscow sponsored by monopolist bank (it's really strange when a customer in Russia can't stay with only a logo at the end and just be a sponsor but not a main hero dressed in corporate colours and a savior in this fairy tale).

Flexible Paper Sculptures of Li Hongbo

The creativity has no limits and boundaries and it can stretches and be flexible just like paper sculptures of Beijing artist Li Hongbo "A book editor and designer, the artist became fascinated by traditional Chinese toys and festive decorations known as paper gourds made from glued layers of thin paper which can be stored flat but then opened to reveal a flower or other shape. He applied the same honeycomb-like paper structure to much larger human forms resulting in these highly flexible sculptures." says Colossal

Drawings by Cath Riley

”The drawings are part of an on-going evolutionary process of exploration and development, and thus serve only to mark and represent a particular stage in my abilities and understanding. Current on-going experimental ‘drawing’ includes very large scale drawing, based around the human figure, which are very different in character from the pencil portrait and ‘flesh’ figure drawings which are featured here. Some of the new work is abstract in nature.” – Cath Riley

Be Yourself at the Chalkboard

"Belgian studio Soon has made a promotional stop-motion video for Twixl media. The clip is an interesting watch because it is fully typographic and illustrated with chalk by Kelly De Ceuninck, and Pieter Vanhoutte. Additionally, it has been creatively directed by Jim Van Raemdonck, and typography and art direction by Lee Skinner." via Illusion Scene 360

Rein Vollenga's Sculptural Wearables

Dutch-born sculptor Rein Vollenga's work has been displayed in worldwide galleries and touted by the likes of Lady Gaga. Vollenga regularly transgresses the traditional boundaries of sculpture by producing tangible and wearable pieces for a whole host of fashion brands - Mugler, New Power Studio and Cassette Playa - as well as magazines, including Dazed & Confused.

IDENTITY by Jeffrey Wang

"This is a chronicle progression of a woman. A woman who morphs from innocence to struggles, and back to innocence. From a state of purity, when there is no good and bad, to sophistication, which comes with seduction, greed, debauchery amongst all other evils that dominate the world. On the verge of decadence she struggles, for individuality, for virtue, for her own soul. In the end amidst all chaos, she unites with peace of mind, living with a sober fact that she is just one of them, and she can’t hide. That is her IDENTITY, whether she likes it or not." Fashion photographer Jeffrey Wang speaks for himself

Facebook for designers

If you ask good user interface designer to come up with perfect layout for social network he will bury you under the tons of paper research and can eventually kill the idea. But if you ask bright UI designer to do the task he will get back to you with the Facebook he dreamed about for years. That what happened to Fred Nerby from Brisbane. He presents a conceptional and systematic design approach encouraging user behaviour and a greater control of data within a responsive grid.If this guy won't work for Facebook in a month than Zuckerberg does not exist.

Drawings by James Mylne

"British artist James Mylne makes photo-realistic images using essentially a ballpoint pen, and sometimes he mixes other materials such as ink, marker, and spray paint. His drawings demand a great deal of concentration because one wrong stroke, can spoil the whole portrait." via Illusion Scene 360
