Athens based photographer Petro Koublis explores the land that lies behind the edge of the city, outside the invisible borders of the extended metropolitan area. "This is an alternate state in parallel time, where silence seems to carry inside it a waiting, patiently whispering a long forgotten language. There is no beauty that is timeless but the timelessness of nature can reflect a new direction, maybe even a hope."

Called ‘BENCHMA(®)C, the innovative collection features desks, moving cabinets and other storage compartments. While working on an art show about air and water, Los Angeles-based artist and designer Jim Darling developed an interest in the views from aeroplane seats. “I got thinking about the window seat: how special it is and how it can be taken for granted,” he says. “These expansive views can be very humbling.” Darling started recording the landscapes he saw with photographs and on Instagram, recreating them later as paintings using layered woodwork, acrylic and aerosol. “Everyone is fascinated by flight, and for now aeroplanes are how we get to experience it. At some point on each flight I’ve been on, I think about sitting in a chair in the sky, and it seems crazy every time.” text by The Guardian

I was happy enough to meet Ilya, Prologue director at that time, at OFFF2009 festival when he was presenting Official Titles inspired by Kin-Dza-Dza soviet sci-fi movie. He was a creative direction of Display Graphics and Holographic Interfaces for Iron Man II, did the opening title sequence for the film Married Life, as well directed live action broadcast packages for the MTV Video Music Awards, Movie Awards and the MTV Station Rebrand.
