Sleepy embroidered animals by Chloe Giordano

Based in Oxford, England, illustrator Chloe Giordano creates delicate depictions of miniature animals rendered with freehand embroidery. The final works of a sleeping fawn or mouse are scarcely larger than the size of a thimble, yet can take long periods of time to complete as she mixes myriad thread colours to achieve perfection for each piece. Giordano also creates various 3D sculptures which you can see more of over on her Tumblr, and says that she is currently available for projects and commissions. via Colossal

Art of Anna Halldin Maule

Initially, these images appear to be crisp, elegant photographs. However, in reality, each hyperrealistic image is an oil painting created by artist Anna Halldin Maule. With unbelievable attention to detail, the Hawaii-based artist produces amazingly detailed, beautifully feminine portraits. The artist's process is a collaboration with photographer husband Tom Maule. The couple develops a photo shoot to serve as the inspiration for the idea that Maule has in mind for her next painting. Her recent work is an exploration of femininity and beauty juxtaposed with society's obsession with material goods.

Interactive Fashion by The Unseen

"The air is made up of many different components that are products of our environment, including pollution, moisture, and more. London-based artist Lauren Bowker and her material exploration studio THE UNSEEN have developed a form of ink that’s reactive to the different fluctuations in the wind as well as our own body. It’s demonstrated in a couture capsule collection entitled Air, which was designed for Swarovski and presented during London’s Fashion Week 2014." via

New Photography Paintings by Flora Borsi

Hungarian photographer and graphic designer Flora Borsi has recently launched her new series called "IRÉEL", featuring mix of photographic elements with painting techniques. Last photo below is a behind the scene frame to see how she produced the final work.

A hyperrealist painter aims to achieve a result which looks like a real photographic picture. A pictorialist photographer's desired result is visually equivalent to a painting. The photographs are real, I've just applied some color/toning effects, adjusted the contrast and a few skin retouch.

Urban Cage

Taipei based designer Yi-Ting Chen , illustrator Ya Shin and photographer Chang Chieh created an awesome project where Asian aesthetics meets technology."In nowadays, urban living gradually can not live without technologies and automobiles, which accompany people for 24 hours just like two soul mates or pets. People hope to interact with others closer via Internet, however, the convenience of technology condenses the genuineness and cares from humans. "

In the past, there are two purpose of having The Cage, one is for admiring-use, to show the elegant movements and the sound of birds; the other is the symbol of society, representing the social level by having a delicate Cage. Deep inside their mind is their reliable consistency. Urbancage tries to represent the past innocent imagination of the society by comparing the phenomenon of over-using mobile phone in nowadays and the behavior of raising birds in the past.

To unite the cage and the mobile phone by penetrating the action of holding and placing the cage, so we can metaphor the automobiles to the birds in cage. Therefore, to connect the electronical bird with humanbeing via the technology of the application, creating a new life style and hbit by that

Hyper Realistic Drawings by Monica Lee

“I like to challenge myself with complex portraits especially people with freckles or beard,” says Monica Lee, who often works from photographic portraits to create seemingly identical drawings. Surprisingly, Lee worked in the digital world for 12 years before making the jump to illustration. But it certainly doesn’t show. She now spends 3-4 weeks on a single drawing. The artist attributes her love for hyperrealism to her father, who worked in the field of photography.
