Adobe MAX Installation by Julia Galdo

Talented photographer and art director Julia Galdo has been invited by Adobe to create main concept for their upcoming annual event Adobe MAX (visit our Events Section for more). Together with Cody Cloud (a part of their JUCO tandem) she created an outstanding wall that will certainly kill an eye of any designer visiting the conference.

Facebook Team Posters by Tim Belonax

Airbnb’s graphic design lead Tim Belonax shows off an incredible selection of his posters, created during his work with Facebook Analog Research Laboratorytimbelonax.com/facebookposters / via Readymag

The walls at Facebook speak. Its chosen dialect is the poster. Covering walls and conference rooms, these posters voice a history that few of its millions of users will ever hear. Over three and a half years working at Facebook I had the pleasure of questioning, translating, and synthesizing the beliefs, emotions, and activities of this unique community. Below is a small selection of some of my favorite prints.

50 Books / 50 Covers

"Established in 1923 by the American Institute of Graphic Arts as "Fifty Books,” the 50 Books | 50 Covers competition is now the longest continually running design competition in the United States. Since 2011, Design Observer has hosted it. And in 2015, for the first time, we are publishing a book and mounting an exhibition to commemorate the competition winners of 2014, narrowed down from a field of 500 entries from fourteen countries."

For now, they are producing the ultimate “book of books” to catalog the winners of this year’s 50 | 50 competition using a crowd-sourcing donation on Kickstarter Page.

Hand-carved Portraits by Yoo Hyun

Using an X-acto knife and tweezers, Korean artist Yoo Hyun (Instagram) hand carves intricate cut-paper portraits that feature the likes of movie stars, world leaders, and musicians. Up close, Hyun’s pieces look like abstract designs, but from afar they read as photo-realistic depictions of his subjects. He achieves this by incorporating a zig-zag pattern into his compositions, where each line is specially cut to build a three dimensional-looking form.

Monday Mo. Co. Type Bike by Jacob Eisinger

"Monday Mo. Co. is a new motorcycle clothing and lifestyle goods boutique opening soon in Birmingham. Illustration Studio I Love Dust teamed up with Boneshaker Bikes and Mutt Motorcycles to celebrate the mighty two-wheeler with an all new shop, including a gallery area where prints will be sold. They aproached me to create an artwork and this is what I came up with." says graphic designer Jacob Eisinger (Instagram)

P.s. Some of you might remember "Londong Bike" project created by Alex Trochut

Louise Mertens Collage Art

Our friend and frequent collaboration artist Louise Mertens rolled up a lot of updates on her personal website. Being a model and an artist on one hand is a double-win, on another is a massive responsibilities for personal challenges. Louise achieves them with a speed of a pain that she splatters across handmade photography collages. After dry up she complete the artwork digitally and send it over fashion editorial or personal exhibition, signed and stamped. Classy works of Belgium design scene.

Google Rebranding

Google got a clever rebranding concept suggested by design student Dana Kim. Even it's a raw attempt to think different and most of graphics slides down a bit to the end of presentation, the main idea is very strong and plays around doubled O converted to browser input field. Wish all student rethink real cases we face on daily basis neither experiments with new forms.
