Stronger Than Time: G-class 1979 inside "Amber" Cube

January 17, 2018 by Arseny Vesnin in Advertising, Art, Cars, Events, Motioncollector, Germany, USA, Sculpture, 2018

Mercedes-Benz encases its 1979’s G-class inside a gigantic “amber” (44 tons of coloured resin, 90 days in production) cube at NAIAS 2018 Detroit show. Created by Antoni agency with video production from Markenfilm-Crossing

The 1979 model of the G-class is enclosed in 44.4 tones of synthetic resin

"The piece symbolizes the timelessness of the off-road legend and makes a conscious reference to the natural phenomenon of insects preserved in amber. With it, the german auto manufacturer wants to portray through an art piece that these characteristics have been handed down from generation to generation, making it the perfect symbol for the premier of the classic’s newest version."

Laura Zalenga Photography

January 15, 2018 by Arseny Vesnin in Germany, Photography, Portfolios, 2018

Laura is a 1990 born [self-] portrait-artist from Southern Germany. Besides photographing projects she teaches workshops, gives inspirational talks and travels to all over the world – always searching for magical places and special light. It’s her clear visual language, the power of telling stories and showing raw, honest emotions in her photographs that makes her work stand out. She is convinced that photography is a type of therapy that gives you the ability to heal yourself and others.

November 20, 2017 by Arseny Vesnin in Art, Denmark, Germany, Portfolios, 2017

Danish-German artist duo Anna Borgman and Candy Lenk created a series of installations exploring “the relationship between sculpture and place”.

"Titled ‘Wurf’ (‘Throw’), the large-scale installation features a piece made of paper maché and wood that mimics a heavy stone. Displayed in a courtyard in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg, ‘Wurf I’ is installed in a delicate green glasshouse. ‘Wurf II’ features the stone imitation hanging from the roof of a monastery church near Leipzig."

Lorem de Loop by Lukas Bruhn

July 18, 2017 by Arseny Vesnin in Graphic Design, Digital Art, Germany, Instagram, Portfolios, 2017

With "Lorem de Loop”, Lukas Bruhn manages a project where he creates a poster every day for one whole year. 123 days in and he’s still going strong.

Lukas Bruhn is a 24 year old art director from Germany. His focus is in advertising, but he has created “Lorem de Loop” as a way to challenge himself with new design concepts by experimenting with different softwares, including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Cinema 4D.

As an art director in advertising, Bruhn’s job is focused on strategic concepting, which often leaves him with little time for developing the actual craft related to the industry. So in early spring 2017, Lukas decided to continue honing his skills with this artistic venture, where he would create a poster every day for one year.

“‘Lorem de Loop’ helps me to expand my horizon in design. It keeps my mind fresh at working with intricate programs, while giving me the opportunity to try out new software.”

The 24 year old art director uses Instagram to publish his work. “This gives me a lot of pressure to actually complete a poster each day!” says Lukas Bruhn.

Next week, he wants to give away posters to three lucky followers. So follow him, cross your fingers and stay tuned!

Chrysopoeia by Susi Sie

January 18, 2017 by Arseny Vesnin in Digital Art, Motioncollector, Germany, Portfolios, 2017

In alchemy, the term chrysopoeia (Greek) means transmutation into gold. The score was composed and played by Nikolai von Sallwitz, using real instruments and tools such as
cello, bowed strings, prepared piano, guitar, flutes, filtered springs, woods and hardware FX such as analog distortion. Chrysopoeia is part of Sonic Materia project series initiated by Nikolai von Sallwitz that is interpreted by various visual artists, graphic- and motion designers. It is about more space for pure visions and experiments likewise interaction and networking with future brains of design.
