Florian Stumpe

May 18, 2020 by Arseny Vesnin in 2020, Advertising, Graphic Design, Germany, Motioncollector, Portfolios

Florian Stumpe is a multidisciplinary Creative Director and Graphic Artist based in Berlin. He creates visual concepts and transforms them into various languages such as films, animations, physical spaces and objects.

The authenticity of his work lies in his creative process in which he blends his analogue and hands-on exploration approach with new digital tools. He narrates his stories through a fine aesthethic and the beauty in random coincidences - the result is a unique style that breaks through by reminding us of the human touch in a digital age.

Art of Leonard Combier

May 15, 2020 by Arseny Vesnin in 2020, Art, France, Portfolios

A work by French artist Leonard Combier is like a riddle that can never quite be solved. Something always slips your notice or escapes your eye, resisting your attempt to unravel every clue. What attracted us to his work is an ongoing project featuring “tattooed” passports of travellers that Leonard has been doing for the last five years. Now he wants to bring an attention for this cause in terms of global situation

Passport Cover_Léonard Combier 1.jpg
Passport Cover_Léonard Combier 2.jpg
Passport_Léonard Combier 1.jpg

“Léonard Combier’s work deals with causality and liberty. In a world where everything interrelates and can only be understood as a vast chain reaction, how is freedom conceivable? This applies as much to the artist who is caught in a system of his own creation, as to the viewer whose gaze finds no exit. The answer, I believe, lies in the Combier’s sense of humour. Humour provides the only solution, a multi-directional vector leading to different levels of interpretation, the choice of which is left up to the viewer. It pervades Combier’s entire work, from the bizarre figures to the comical texts, as the artist’s mischievous playfulness sets the scenes of his different worlds like those in a vaudeville play – save the final twist in the plot, which is never revealed. Yet there is always the mystery contact, whose phone number is etched into each work.”

Architectural Photography by Griselda Duch

May 13, 2020 by Arseny Vesnin in 2020, Architecture, Photography, Netherlands

Griselda Duch is a photographer specializing in landscape, still life, and architectural photography. She likes to travel around while working for both personal and commissioned projects.

“Being unique among creative and artistic professions, I think architecture is very important. Beyond merely providing shelter, architecture becomes the stage set and context for our lives, and an important influence on our living. Playing between line, shape, and color; the series aims to transport the viewer into a setting. Being drawn to the places we all inhabit and that become frames full of unusual details and combinations, I seek to reveal the role of architecture to endless possibilities, looking for aesthetic sensations where symmetry, light, color, and textures become the main protagonists.”

Abstract Paintings by Alex Kuznetsov

May 11, 2020 by Arseny Vesnin in 2020, Art, Belarus, Portfolios

Alex Kuznetsov’s painting practice is concerned with states of flux and impermanence, furthered by research into spatial and temporal concerns in a comparison of social and urban timeframes. His process-led, abstract painting practice employs a tempered gestural language where fluidity is a defining material concern and the process of erasure has equal importance to the intuitive application of paint. This examines states of presence and remembrance by exploring a tension between control and chance.

Hitchcock-inspired interiors by Atelier Aveus

May 08, 2020 by Arseny Vesnin in 2020, Digital Art, Interior Design

Atelier Aveus shares their stunning 3D interior collection inspired by Hitchcock. In collaboration with 3D artist Ergun Ayral, they created virtual interior environment for the audience to escape inside.

atelier-aveus-4.jpg
“Hitchcock often represented the physical world as a projection of a disturbed person shown through striking set design and lighting effects. That type of “expressive decor” has been particularly interesting to work on and adapt for this project. Following this approach and cultivating the dramatic potential of the domestic sphere, we staged our new pieces of furniture in a series of visuals, almost conceived as a short storyboard.”

Influx

May 07, 2020 by Arseny Vesnin in 2020, Motioncollector, USA, Mexico

A mother finds herself sinking into a domestic violent relationship, until an influx of emotions is awakened within her.

‘Influx’ is a poetic short film that sinks into the themes of domestic violence, alcoholism, and love. Inspired by Leslie Morgan Steiner's TED talk: ‘Why domestic violence victims don’t leave’. And by the countless stories of mothers trapped in abusive relationships and the power of love for their children.

Influx_3.jpg
Influx_4.jpg
Influx_5.jpg
Influx_6.jpg

This film was made to spark hope and connect with those that find themselves in unhealthy domestic relationships. Given the current situation with the virus lockdown and recent rise in domestic abuse and alcoholism, the importance of having a dialogue with audiences regarding domestic violence is vital.

Here it is! TOP 5 Finalists💀 Please drop a comment and congratulate everyone 🤍 • The overall winner will be announced tomorrow! • I can’t begin to explain how much fun this has been for me to see over the past week and a bit. I would wake up every morning feeling it’s Christmas seeing all your submissions! So huge thank you to everyone. • To the 5 finalists, you have won 2 products from my product store. • @buttered_lemonade I simply love the style. The balance of decor. The jewels and the snake. It feels like a real museum piece. And the blending is amazing. Incredible work. • @gantelya_88 your use of colour and abstract shapes really caught my attention. It’s so vibrant and unique! All the elements blend so well and compliment the artwork. Great work again! • @theare.co.in i don’t even know where to start with this. It’s insane. I need it on my wall as an art print. Your use of anatomy and vintage medical illustrations blew my mind. It feels like what I would see if I had an acid trip in one of my favourite museums of anatomy. • @grafake.charles I love the soft vibes and textures in this. I love how you blended your piece. It feels like a scene from avatar and the glows are such a cool touch. Well done! • @christianprattvfx A few people submitted planet/geology inspired work but I love this piece so much because the topology has been shaped like a skull. It feels like some crazy pirate island you would get in a cool stylised video game. And I love the graphic style in the water. • Make sure to follow the tag #billelis to see everyone’s entry and check the amazing competition. Again a huge thank you to everyone and stay tuned to see the overall winner tomorrow! • • • #billelis #collaboration #illustration #c4d #3dart #skull #tattoo #giveaway #art #gothic #artistsoninstagram

Engulf You

May 06, 2020 by Arseny Vesnin in 2020, Motioncollector, USA

Exploring the idea of internal struggle, Engulf You is a film painting the never ending ‘dance’ of emotions that make us. Much like the concept of the cosmic duality of Yin and Yang, our emotions are in a constant tango, vying for victory over one another. This film focuses particularly on the claustrophobia within us when anxieties and self doubt truly engulf us. Created at Found Form by Wisconsin based directors Steven Cleavland and Kyle Kadow.
