"British ceramicist Tamsin van Essen is fascinated by what she describes as the “the fragile boundary between attraction and repulsion,” a place where tension is created by the visible and the obscured. For her Erosion series Essen created layered blocks of alternating black and white porcelain which she then sandblasted to mimic biological forms similar to a parasitic virus in the process of devouring a host. London Sleeps is a series of quietly stunning images by photographer Matthew Joseph that show what our city would be like if none of us were around. All the sound and fury we insist on creating is absent, leaving London’s landmarks to bask in a stillness that is almost eerie.

Transforming Céline campaign girl Daria Werbowy into a primordial goddess rising from and returning to the earth, the CGI-powered film directed by Analog Studio explores ideas of nature, birth and death.

"Conceived in collaboration with Warren Du Preez and Nick Thornton Jones for Creative Review’s Annual Creative Awards. The capture side of the project was a one day shoot in Holborn studios London with FBFX Digital scanning, Frank Benhamou styling, Rebecca Louise Law creating floral installations, Raphael Salley on hair direction, and Ninni Nummela on makeup. An original music composition by Salvador Breed and Stijn Van Beek took a couple of weeks, as did the editing by Steve Ackroyd at Final Cut London."

"As urban streets are increasingly shared between drivers and cyclists, road safety is more of an issue than ever before. In the UK, more than 19,000 cyclists are involved in accidents every year. Many of these collisions take place in London, where the city’s often old, narrow streets make it difficult to accommodate both four-wheeled and two-wheeled drivers. Swedish car manufacturer Volvo (which has been making some noise in the design world lately) is now addressing the problem with the introduction of its new product Life Paint, which just launched in London."

Situated in the most posh layer of London, in a Victorian-style building in South Kensington, the flat of Lebanese Interior Designer Danielle Moudaber is something to dig every corner on the pictures below. The house is an excellent mix of styles ranging from Modern to Classic, Baroque to Rococo and Art Deco, Minimal to Greco-Roman, all merged into a soft and dreamy ensemble by the light blue colour which is omnipresent and renders a light “Mediterranean” touch to all spaces.

Duffy London did it again, we mean the table or the epic way they think table should look. Last year it was a glass underwater topography map table, now it is a total way different. The UP Balloon Coffee Table cleverly creates the illusion of a glass tabletop supported by 11 helium balloons. Duffy plans to make only 25 tables and they’re available in red, gold, and silver balloons.

Moved by color and motion, Psyop and McKinney bring consumers along an epic journey of exploration through bold and beautiful shades from Sherwin Williams’ Emerald Paint Collection. The team looked to fine art for inspiration, drawing from Mark Rothko and Georgia O’Keeffe as inspirations. “What’s important about looking toward these artists in our process is that their art brings to the table another era, another way of thinking about and creating great graphic design,” director Lauren Indovina explains. Thinking differently is just what they did.
