Hershey’s & Matt W. Moore – 2016 RIO Summer Olympics

May 18, 2016 by Arseny Vesnin in Street Art, USA, Illustration, 2016

Talented artist Matt W Moore has been commissioned by Hershey's to create Olympics Promo Materials for the brand.

“I had the pleasure of working with Hershey’s designing a range of athlete illustrations for their 2016 Summer Olympics campaign. Last week I was in NYC painting a large canvas featuring one of the abstracted runners composed of ribbons for the ‘100 day countdown to RIO’ event in Times Square. Lots of fun! Big thanks to Andy Keene at GoDutch and Ron Burrage at Hershey for having me onboard for this awesome project. Truly an honor!”

Appy Fizz

May 16, 2016 by Arseny Vesnin in Agencies, Advertising, Graphic Design, Branding, USA, India, 2016

Sagmeister & Walsh (together with Daniel Brokstad, Fumi Omori, Liron Ashkenazi, Pol Solsona, Simón Sepúlveda, Zipeng Zhu, Esteban Diácono, Karan Singh, Pedro Veneziano and Pablo Alfieri) created a lively visual identity for Appy Fizz, India's first ever sparkling apple juice drink.

“The new Appy Fizz identity visualizes carbonated bubbles through a dynamic graphic language of 3d spheres and circles. From the print campaign to the television commercial, this circular language in the bold red/white/black color palette unites the various mediums with a distinct look and feel. We worked with brand ambassador & Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra for the TVC to create a bold film for Appy Fizz. In the film Priyanka “sheds” the sweeter tone of the brands past for a strong, bold, sexier tone that will continue for future campaigns. ”

POSE MSK

May 12, 2016 by Arseny Vesnin in Art, Street Art, USA, 2016, Portfolios
“My artwork is pretty cut and dried. I’m taking from the world around me – whether it be bits of signs or my wife’s old childhood books. It could be a rundown bodega sign I saw on the way to the studio, the way gang graffiti got buffed, watching Dumbo with my daughters in the morning or a deep-seeded memory I’m trying to work through”

Having shown works at galleries spanning the globe – including Dubai, London, New York and Los Angeles – his diversity as a visual artist is also apparent in grandiose outdoor settings on six different continents. His aim to promote community engagement and outreach has received press from the likes of The New York Times, BBC News, Vanity Fair and Forbes – with notable examples including the Bowery/Houston wall in New York City, the Wynwood walls in Miami, and the exterior of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Detroit, where he and other artists championed visual expression to empower residents to beautify a neglected American city.

Misplaced by Anton Repponen

April 21, 2016 by Arseny Vesnin in Architecture, Digital Art, Photography, Portfolios, USA, 2016

"Misplaced Series is a project that takes notable New York buildings from their existing surrounding environments and inserts them into desolate locations out of context. By sequestering these structures from the hustle that usually swallows them, their architectural form becomes more defined and easily understood. The juxtaposition of these concrete volumes and glossy glass windows against sand dunes and rocky cliffs forms a new way of perceiving and appreciating these otherwise familiar architectural landmarks.Short fictional stories accompanying each building are written to help readers experience the ambiguity and absurdness of each scene. Architects are confused with the irrational task of designing something in the desert, self-expanding constructions that seek for new places to exist, unsold tickets to museums that are nowhere to be found and luxury hotels with no guests. Each story might have been a short scene from the movie that is never going to be watched, same way as those building are never going to be somewhere else." text by Jon Earle for Anton Repponen.

Art of Beau B. Frank

April 12, 2016 by Arseny Vesnin in Art, Portfolios, USA, 2016

Beau Bernier Frank (@beaubfrank) is a 22-year-old French-American surrealist painter currently working from his studio in the city of Pacific Grove, located on the California coast. Coping with disease and not being able to walk or work for several months gave Beau an opportunity to brainstorm and explore his artistic inclinations. He eventually developed a new innovative and unique style of collages of landscapes with portraits. These paintings would mark the beginning of his new career as an emerging artist and the creation of his latest collection, “Off the Grid.”

Surreal Sculpture of Dan Lam

April 08, 2016 by Arseny Vesnin in Art, Sculpture, USA, 2016

"At first glance, the sculptures of Dan Lam (Instagram) might seem like living organisms. Created with intense hues, the pieces seem to drip right before the viewers’ eyes with an undeniable energy.Lam uses polyurethane foam, acrylic paint and epoxy resin to create her intricate pieces. She starts with a shape and lets the foam takes its own course, guiding it ever so slightly. Afterwards, she chooses a colour and dots the surfaces of each piece with paint to create even more visual rhythm." via TCP

Alex Nero

April 05, 2016 by Arseny Vesnin in Digital Art, Instagram, Photography, Portfolios, USA, 2016

Young American artist hailing from Ukraine - Alex Nero creates fine art works where he utilises experimental techniques with chemistry and physical dynamics of paint within vessels of water, captured by digital photographs. This is not a new way of creating artworks as you might have seen Alberto Seveso works before but the similarity creates a new wave in creative experiments what lead to new openings like Alex Nero himself.
