Pol Ubeda photography

"I’m Not There is an ongoing series of portraits by photographer Pol Úbeda Hervàs who lives and works in Barcelona. He says the series came from changes in his life that left him unsure of who he is, but decided to leave the shoes as a small reminder that there was at least some fragment of his personality left behind, more than just a shadow." via Colossal

How can we accept that we are changing? How can we accept we hardly recognize ourselves in certain situations? I am changing at this very moment of my life. I do not react in the same ways I used to. I am surprised. Is that me? These pictures are the way I see myself now. My shadow is there but I erase myself because I don´t know who I am any longer. The shoes remain only to make sure there is something more than… a shadow.

Traces by Abbie Stephens

Inspiring video created to mark the launch of Spanish designer Emilio De La Morena's SS13 collection, Abbie Stephens' film plays light against dark to accentuate the textural details and silhouettes across the range. Drawing inspiration from the themes of memory and perception that Emilio used as the basis for his new pieces, Abbie creates and inverts worlds to play with the line between imagination and reality.

Blendscapes by Oriol Angrill

When looking at Oriol' artwork it is hard to recognize the material illustration did with no digital instruments and still looking like a sort of photography experiments. That what has caught my attention in Blendscapes series. Once I set up my Waterfall House I'd definitely buy few works of Oriol Angrill

Sagrada Familia - Ode à la vie

The cities of Barcelona and Montréal invited Moment Factory to showcase architect Antoni Gaudí‘s renowned Sagrada Familia by creating a moving fresco on the basilica’s Nativity façade. The result, a 15-minute multimedia tribute to one of the world’s most revered churches, is an uplifting story of rebirth, hope and beauty. Here's the official demo.

OFFF 2012 Main Titles

Designcollector was a Media Partner for OFFF2012 festival this year and was the only online media that tried to make a life visual report from the fields with the help of Alexander Kalachev. Also we will try to make a full report this week with festival photos send us by our friends. BUT for now please watch Official Festival Titles created by Brosmind and UpperFirst. Brosmind and Upper First redefined the format, mixing cinema, illustration and 2D/3D animation with paper, adding to their highly anticipated video a double-feature comic book that was given for free, alongside plastic masks with the face of the characters, to a crowd that enjoyed all the presentation feeling that they were the real protagonists of the party.
