Sea Hyun Lee: Between Red

This blood-orange land on oil canvases by Sea Hyun Lee is actually a mountains from the border between North ans South Korea. Union Gallery, what represents the author, describe the paintings as

Deeply personal works that reference Lee’s own sense of the past and its losses. Here, Lee tarries with two familiar ideas: nostalgia and utopia. But he avoids approaching either with mere simplicity or mere skepticism. Instead, his paintings are infused with a sophisticated sense of nostalgia, and a wry idea of utopia.

Tweed Run London 2013 by ANTON @tweedrun

On 13th April 2013, London held the 5th Annual Tweed Run.Photographer ANTON made a shoot (using analogue camera and Polaroid) on this date calling it #PhotoDay. The day about creating a connected body of work, linking local people, their environment, shared passions and the rest of the online world.

Tweed Run is a group bicycle ride through the centre of London, in which the cyclists are expected to dress in traditional British cycling attire. Any bicycle is acceptable on the Tweed Run, but classic vintage bicycles are encouraged. Some effort to recreate the spirit of a bygone era is always appreciated.

We also have Tweed Run in Saint-Petersburg but there is no dates yet.

Kin-Dza-Dza by Alex Andreyev

There is a long story to tell if the words "Kin-Dza-Dza" reminds you nothing. Briefly this is a title of the famous Soviet sci-fi (with cyberpunk elements) movie directed by gifted Georgi Daneliya in 1986. Few years ago legendary director decide to go with animated version of the movie and just few days ago the fresh cartoon hit Russian cinemas. What I'd like to focus on is the environment drawings done by famous russian digital artist Alex Andreyev, we shared few of them below as well as both movies trailers.
