1 Second Everyday App by Cesar Kuriyama

I think we posted the video made by Cesar Kuriyama "1 Second Everyday" when he started to record a second of each day of his life. They say if you have a doze of persistence and an idea anything can be done. That what happened with Cesar Kuriyama after he published the video. So the next full year he was busy between speaking at TED Conferences and finding a proper developing team for his application. Now he is looking for the audience support at Kickstarter and ready to deliver the app in December.

OKO

OKO is a puzzle video game. The goal is to reconstruct an image by stopping rotating circles cut out from this image. For each level, the animated pieces draw increasingly complex patterns. The challenge is to be attentive to image juxtapositions in order to stop the circles movement at the right moment. The game developed by Nadezda Suvorova (concept and design), Jérémie Forge (sound design) and Pierre Rossel/Nadezda Suvorova (development) Download it for iPad from iTunes App Store: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/oko/id524351381?mt=8

Olly Low Poly And The Zombie Tower Game

Last month we posted a teaser of upcoming mobile game "Olly Low Poly and The Zombie Tower" created by awesome motion designer Vladimir Tomin. Today it is out on AppStore for a cost of the cheapest half of coffee and available for download.

"Olly Low Poly And The Zombie Tower" is my first attempt to create video game. It took me 9 month of spare evening time to finish this project from a scratch. And programming was not the hardest part. Was it worth it? You tell me. I think it was totally worth it and this is definitely just the beginning." says Vladimir

Chirp app

Have you ever get frustrated with awkward files sharing through iPhones when chatting with friends in life? Still using an email to share photos with you friend sitting at your right hand? Yeah ugly miscommunication or the next "must have" feature for iPhone 7.. Recently we found freebie Chirp doing awesome photos, text and links sharing on-a-fly or on-a-chirp.

You and your recipient must install Chirp app and have internet connection for making an app sings information from one iPhone to another.

Kashiwa Sato iPad Portfolio

We spotted Kashiwa Sato flash website five years ago and it is still an example of Japanese way to organize information. This time he is back to shock us with new iPad experience. Typography Insight app

Typography Insight, developed by Parsons design student Dong Yoon Park, is sort of like an iPad typeface encyclopedia. Only encyclopedias are boring, and Typography Insight is beautiful and fun. With a wonderful and decently responsive interface, you can beef up on type terminology (do you know what an ascender is? A baseline?) compare fonts with a nifty overlay mode, or just get all up in their perfect formed faces to appreciate and learn nuances. via Gizmodo App designed and created by Dong Yoon Park Available for both iPhone and iPad

Appcollector: Favourite apps by Designcollector

Today I will speak for myself in Friday's "Appcollector Favourites". Here is a list of creative applications I use daily to keep Designcollector and myself in a good shape.

[twocol_one][/twocol_one] [twocol_one_last]

1. iFound

As a visual hunter I can't spend a day without sticking for an hour on FFFFOUND imagery solaris. Their brand new iPhone app works fast and crisp with all that amount of data, and I like the way related images are organized so I can go deeper and deeper until I get obscene girls images on screen. App can glitch sometimes due to caching.[/twocol_one_last]

[twocol_one][/twocol_one] [twocol_one_last]

2. Google Currents (Google Медиа)

Earlier this year Google has an attempt to shake up the online blogs and magazines scene with Google Currents publishing tool and mobile application. The tool allows blogs owners to create branded mobile Google magazines fetching data from RSS, Picasa, Youtube likes and Google Plus all together. We could not make that works together but released Designcollector on Google Currents, feel free to subscribe. In overall this is a very strong application for news reading (bonus: optional offline sync!). Most of favourite blogs and media publish their Google Currents Magazines but you can easily subscribe to plain RSS channels you like.[/twocol_one_last]

[twocol_one][/twocol_one] [twocol_one_last]

3. Gabi

My latest finding, thanks to Mashable. Gabi is a new way to visualize and interact with the world’s largest social network. Yes it is a sort of smart visual interface for Facebook, working smoothly with popular/unpopular content from your newsfeed, friends and yourself. It is not the application to chat with your friends and shower likes on the walls, it is more about getting the most interest content[/twocol_one_last]

[twocol_one][/twocol_one] [twocol_one_last]

4. Reeder

When I am getting tired from Google Currents I switch to the ultimate Google Reader mobile interface - Reeder app. It is good, has a clean UI, easy flow and a lot of sharing options. The only thing I am worrying about is offline image caching, that works randomly on a huge list of channels like mine. [/twocol_one_last]

[twocol_one][/twocol_one] [twocol_one_last]

5. SVPPLY

Svpply is a hand-selected collection of the world's best products from all across the world. The application has awesome interface without notorious skeuomorphism and interacts easily with a fun. Follow us on SVPPLY[/twocol_one_last]

[twocol_one][/twocol_one] [twocol_one_last]

Bonus: Manifest

According to Manifest app with Russian roots, things divides to "Cool" and "Dumb". Connect your friends, take a snaps with your camera and rate them together. [/twocol_one_last]

Parking Douche - Golden Cannes Mobile Lion

LiquiData Multitouch

LiquiData is a multitouch application to explore your personal movement profile and to show other people engaging places by adding photos and comments with the help of your smartphone. It can be seen as a rating system that offers people the possibility to discover new spots in an unknown surrounding e.g. during a city-visit. Although a smartphone is not necessary to interact with the system, it offers you the possibility to give insights to your movements through the city and lets you compare your mental map with the reality. For instance, this system could give guests of a hotel (lobby) the option to share their walked trails and show other visitors their favorite coffee shops or parks.

1. Nike+

I run with my phone. I'm addicted to Nike+. It has truly changed the way I run. I've been competitive all my life to begin with, but it's helped me pretty drastically increase my pace and stay motivated.[/twocol_one_last]

[twocol_one][/twocol_one] [twocol_one_last]

2. Evernote

A must for any dedicated list maker and organizer.[/twocol_one_last]

[twocol_one][/twocol_one] [twocol_one_last]

Panoramic photo stitching fun.[/twocol_one_last]

I'm not much of a cook and I pretty much order all my food this way. The mobile version I actually find preferable to the browser version.[/twocol_one_last]

Appcollector: Favourite Apps by Anton Repponen

Our former Appcollector project and now the Mobile Apps category resurrects in new form with a series of quick talks with great people sharing their thoughts about best Mobile Applications. As and addition we asked everyone to participate in our Facebook survey "What are the Best Apps on your Mobile?" please share your thoughts! For now lets check the list of favourite applications using by Fantasy Interactive creative director: Anton Repponen [twocol_one][/twocol_one] [twocol_one_last]

1. CrossProcess

Almost all the photos I take with iPhone I run through the CrossProcess App. I think it has the best colors compared to other apps doing similar color adjustments. As well as it is dead simple, without any settings, buttons, or unnecessary social stuff (like Instagram for example) [/twocol_one_last]

[twocol_one][/twocol_one] [twocol_one_last]

2. Spotify

I listen to all my music using Spotify on iPhone. I got all my playlists synced wirelessly with the desktop version, so all the stuff that I like gets pushed automatically without a hassle of a cable and iTunes. And Spotify has an enormous collection of music, pretty much everything is there.[/twocol_one_last]

[twocol_one][/twocol_one] [twocol_one_last]

3. Flipboard

I barely use Twitter on iPhone, usually it ends up being a list of short urls and links to random photos. I like the Flipboard approach to visualizing it and making the feed more visual. Once in a while while waiting in line I go through the feed using Flipboard.[/twocol_one_last]

[twocol_one][/twocol_one] [twocol_one_last]

4. Kayak

I travel quite a bit, especially for work. The moment I arrive somewhere where I will stay for some period of time (such as San Francisco or Stockholm) I use Kayak to search for nearby flights to escape somewhere for a weekend. There are probably much better apps that Kayak, but that one has the best design I think.[/twocol_one_last]

[twocol_one][/twocol_one] [twocol_one_last]

5. Svpply

I really like svpply.com. Just recently they have release an iPhone and iPad apps which a extremely well done. I get struck there for hours once in a while.[/twocol_one_last]

[twocol_one][/twocol_one] [twocol_one_last]

BONUS

Figure App - This music-making app is freaking amazing. Comes from Swedish Propellerhead (creators of Reason). There's nothing pro about it, it's just fun sometimes to make some loops within a minute.[/twocol_one_last]

Bright Light app concept

Bright Light is an app concept for Ray-Ban (apparently a briefcase) that will help you finding the sunny spots in your city, the places where you can enjoy the sun without the visual noise of the buildings. This app can help people to get the most out of the sun and their sunglasses. Wish it exists in Saint-Petersburg!App concept is created by Eva Wallmark, Rick Beskow and Michal Sitkiewicz from Swedish Berghs School of Communication http://cargocollective.com/evarickardmichal

Cinemagram app

After hysterical rocket start of Instagram (@designcollector) here comes a ton of clones but only few other good and related apps are taking their niches. For all loop GIF and Cinemagraphs lovers here goes the ultimate short animation tool - Cinemagram for iPhone. With quite smart interface one can take a short mobile film and than animate selected zone and create an awesome GIF worth to share across the web or on Cinemagram website. Don't limit creativity with cats, facial expressions and etc.
