Envisioning app concept

April 24, 2011 by Arseny Vesnin in Germany, Portfolios, Mobile Applications

The iPad App "Envisioning" is part of Filip's Chudzinski diploma thesis about the Human-Computer-Interaction in Science-Fiction movies.

Interaction designers can be inspired by movies, a source they already love, and can learn from the interfaces in films and television. After an initial phase of just unreflected citation of existing technology or simple ex-trapolation without conceptual changes, technology started to inspire filmmakers. They invented interesting variations or pointed out the consequences of failures (or total success) of technologies, and thereby provided inspiration for researchers all the same. The app provides an easy-to-use access to various movie clips, connected with in-depth information about facts and fiction. Swipe. Tap. Get comfy. Get inspired.

GOAB New TV Concept

April 04, 2011 by Arseny Vesnin in Agencies, Germany, Mobile Applications

I personally do not watch TV except Designcollector TV but the only way I can change my mind is something unusual and creative. Like guys from Syzygy Lab did. They have re-thought the way people watch TV and presented GOAB TV concept

With GOAB we take the latest trends, bring the loose ends together, develop established ideas further and develop new concepts to provide a possible answer to the question: How do we want to watch television in the future?

They took right keys: Context, Interactivity, Independence, Optimal Experience and Social Engagement - mixed them up with a personality, added some game and joy - voila - GOAB!

The Daily

February 02, 2011 by Arseny Vesnin in Advertising, Design, USA, Mobile Applications

Today Rupert Murdoch, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of News Corporation, unveiled The Daily -- the industry’s first U.S. national daily news publication created from the ground up for iPad.

“News Corp. is redefining the news experience with The Daily,” says Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO. “We think it is terrific and iPad users are really going to embrace it.”

The Daily’s unique mix of text, photography, audio, video, information graphics, touch interactivity and real-time data and social feeds provides its editors with the ability to decide not only which stories are most important -- but also the best format to deliver these stories to their readers.

Each day The Daily will publish up to 100 pages focused on six key areas: news, sports, gossip and celebrity, opinion, arts and life, and apps and games. It will offer views from across the political spectrum. They will come from across cultures and generations, across America and the world.
