That is not a new concept in terms of postmodernism sculpture but he does it with a great passion to details and as he said "I believe there is something magic in the world of scales. Using an X-acto knife and tweezers, Korean artist Yoo Hyun (Instagram) hand carves intricate cut-paper portraits that feature the likes of movie stars, world leaders, and musicians. Up close, Hyun’s pieces look like abstract designs, but from afar they read as photo-realistic depictions of his subjects. He achieves this by incorporating a zig-zag pattern into his compositions, where each line is specially cut to build a three dimensional-looking form.
Thomas Robson’s series, Fluid Pigments, adds a touch of contemporary flair to very classic figures. The juxtaposition of elements, especially classics alongside modern, normally have a high impact as people get caught off-guard by ideas and concepts yet unknown to them. His work directly addresses ideas of appropriation, inspiration, and originality, as well as reflecting our current media saturated culture.
A war to keep the peace. In the small village of Vrontados on the Greek island of Chios, there is unrest. For over a century, parishioners of two Greek Orthodox churches have engaged in a battle on Holy Saturday, firing more than 100,000 homemade rockets at each other’s churches once the sun goes down. The origin of this tradition is unclear. One theory holds that churches on the island faked a civil war during the Turkish occupation so they could celebrate Easter without being plagued by war. Accordingly the ruse worked, as the Turks kept a safe distance, allowing the villagers to attend Easter Mass.Directed by WeAreVariable.com

The designers behind Material Immaterial studio, Nitin Barchha and Disney Davis, constructed miniature buildings to celebrate the beauty of concrete. These are miniature homes, which they call 'SPACES'. They are a collection of nine unique concrete pieces celebrating the amalgamation of space and volume that have sparked our senses as designers over the years. In honor of classic architecture, the designers say about their motivation behind the project: "Many of the best and most influential buildings of the last century are constructed with concrete, from Le-Corbusier's quintessentially modernist Villa Savoye, to Frank Lloyd Wright's spellbinding Falling water, and from Oscar Niemeyer's nation defining Brasilia, to Tadao Ando's exhilarating Church of the Light."
