At the recent Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, 3D Systems showcased the world's first 3D food printers. Called Chefjet and Chefjet Pro, the innovative machines are capable of producing an amazing array of delicious goodies in 3D geometric form.
When speaking about the products, Liz von Hasseln, 3D Systems' Creative Director Food Products explains, āThe machine uses an ink jet print head that's just like the one you would find in your desktop 2D printer. It spreads a very fine layer of sugar then paints water onto the surface of the sugar, and that water allows the sugar to re-crystalize and harden to form these complex geometries."

Talented StPete based designer Lesha Galkin from Dopludo was commissioned by "Pimp Your Eyes" eyewear store to create sales point at Moscow FLACON Design Factory. The idea came quickly - modular parts of a spaceship, worth to mention Lesha completed architectural university and Le Corbusier's Modulor is his midnight fellow. The interior was made up from 477 module pieces cut from a plywood, smart and light-weight choice for exhibitions.
