Pity we had not visited "Mad In Spain" festival this year as we did in 2011. MAD2012 took a place (literally yesterday) on 13-14 April in Madrid. I bet this was a wonderful festival featuring Stefan Sagmeister, Aaron McBride, Jordi Bares, Nando Costa, Mario Eskenazi, Cuban Council, Vitaly Friedman, Randy J. 9 years: Designcollector + Google Currents

Designcollector is celebrating 9 years today on Friday 13th :D Obviously we spam today with the projects we have under the sleeves. Here we go with the brand new mobile version of Designcollector available on freshly released Google application called "Currents". Lacquered Paper Objects by Nendo

Awesome example of Japanese object design as a pure state of art. Lacquered paper-objects by Nendo A small container created using a 3D printer that cuts, stacks and pastes sheets of paper one by one. We finished the surface with lacquer. The lacquer adhered thickly to the edges of the accumulated paper, and pulled at the paper's surface, resulting in a mysterious texture like wood grain.
