Harveys by Tad Carpenter

"Harvey House Diner was a staple in Kansas City’s Union Station starting in 1914. The diner would greet thousands of travellers as they would arrive from all over the country by train at the historic Union Station. Fred Harvey’s original Harvey House has been long gone, but our new Harvey’s at Union Station is a nod to that historic diner. Despite almost 100 years between the two concepts opening their doors, both the new Harvey’s and the original share the same core values of quality food, quality service and quality company. Brand components consisted of, logo system, brand identity, menus, interior and exterior signage, environmental graphics and apparel." says graphic designer Tad Carpenter on his awesome portfolio piece tad-carpenter-harveys9

Nature arranged by colour by Emily Blincoe

"Photographer Emily Blincoe (previously) continues to make us smile with her arrays of food and plants perfectly organized by color. Blincoe collects every color permutation of tomatoes, oranges, eggs, and even candy and then sorts them into groups and gradients for each image. Her wildly popular photos have attracted a huge following on Instagram and Tumblr, and many are available as prints." text by Colossal

Art of Anna Halldin Maule

Initially, these images appear to be crisp, elegant photographs. However, in reality, each hyperrealistic image is an oil painting created by artist Anna Halldin Maule. With unbelievable attention to detail, the Hawaii-based artist produces amazingly detailed, beautifully feminine portraits. The artist's process is a collaboration with photographer husband Tom Maule. The couple develops a photo shoot to serve as the inspiration for the idea that Maule has in mind for her next painting. Her recent work is an exploration of femininity and beauty juxtaposed with society's obsession with material goods.

Peter Bahouth's Treehouses

Architect Peter Bahouth built a series of houses in the trees connected by wooden bridges in Atlanta. Peter is an environmentalist whose love of nature and memories of boyhood treehouses inspired him to create a grown-up fort in his Atlanta backyard. The three rooms of this treehouse have been christened “Mind,” “Body” and “Spirit” by the owner. A suspension bridge connects the living room, or “Mind” portion of this Atlanta treehouse, to the “Body” or bedroom portion, that includes a platform bed that slides out for a better view of the tree canopy. Scarves by Slow Factory

This decade is definitely facing a juxtaposition of science and fashion, here is another great example of this trend. "We believe in creating timeless pieces with the world in mind. Our sustainable essentials are handcrafted and consciously made with craftspeople all around the world. Slow Factory is the link between our world and galaxies whose distance reaches places beyond our imagination. Today, we are here, and we are all inherently connected."

Analog Memory Desk

The Analog Memory Desk is "a tool" to record manually all the small items you write down once, but intend to forget tomorrow. As said by creator Kristen Camara

I've come to realize that I'm somewhat obsessed with how we remember the past. This is the latest installment in that series and a more serious attempt at furniture making. There are a hundreds of little things that we don't try to remember every year or even every week. Does the sum of all these tiny parts produce a new narrative on our lives?

1,100 yards of paper will record the lists, the phones numbers you call once, the pixel size of that box on that website, the street name of that business, and the long division you try to remember.

Ballet Meets Robotics

You might remember that famous BOX (GMUNK at Bot Dolly) video showing the technology of directing synchronised cameras upon motion capture enhanced by projection mapping. Now enter the next level where Ballet meets Robotics. Featuring San Francisco Ballet principal dancers Maria Kochetkova and Joan Boada, "Francesca Da Rimini" is an experiment using a robotically controlled camera to capture ballet.
