New York based British artist John Thurlow (@jptcovers) has called our attention few years ago while working on personal series of "a selected magazine covers redrawn with a sole pencil". This project host more than a hundred of stunning cover arts that are two times worth than the original magazine cover. His next Covers vol 2 features free artwork mostly inspired by magazines but layered with personal wordings or common phrases (also inspired by music). Outside illustration world he is Creative Director at Grey Group and also has a personal design-related portfolio on Behance.
Mike Ko attracted us with his very short but cool animation "iPhone Diorama" made as a part of graduation project.

Project Glass is a new technology, one that helps you explore and share your world, putting you back in the moment. Now you information will be not only shared through desktops and mobile but directly from the human environment by using special spectacles. Project Glass is a concept of something like a Visual Apple Siri hence Siri is already working on fields, Google is just playing with huge data and information they own through Google Plus social network. But personally we like how Google made up this concept, check the video and enjoy the future (hopefully it is near) g.co/projectglass

Caitlin Hackett’s artwork analyzes the boundaries that separate humans from animals. “[...] these boundaries are warped by new scientific data, mythology, history and religious beliefs alike, blurring the lines between us as science, religion and culture clash over what it is to be human, and thus, what separates us from the beasts of the wild,” states Hackett.

Barry X Ball is one hell of a sculptor who uses various types of marble and steel to create his works. Mr. Ball (if I may call him that) is currently based out of New York, USA, but originally hails from sunny Pasadena, California. His series, entitled “Masterpieces”, consist of recreated sculptural works after classic pieces of the Great Masters, such as Antonio Corradini, Josse de Corte, and the timeless Hermaphrodite Endormi (Ermafrodito Borghese) piece.

Controversial grotesquely molded sculptures by Kris Kuksi juxtapose two worlds of antique beauty and modern machinery. In personal reflection, he feels that much of mankind in the World today is elastic and fragile being driven primarily by greed and materialism. He hopes that through his art expose his audience to the awareness of the fallacies of Man. His work has received several awards and prizes and has been featured in over 100 exhibitions world wide as well as featured in international art magazines and fictional book covers.

"There's something incredibly liberating and majestic about this short animation from Brooklyn-based 3D artist and programmer Paris Mavroidis. Created while Mavroidis was pursuing his MFA in Digital Arts at Pratt Institute, "Divers" was inspired by the elaborate dance pieces of Busby Berkeley, mass gymnastics, and experimental cinema from the 20's and 30's." via Juxtapoz
