The Vanity by Murray Fredericks

Hamiltons Gallery
May 09, 2017 by Arseny Vesnin in Art, Photography, Portfolios, Australia, 2017

"Australian photographer Murray Fredericks’ long relationship with Lake Eyre, where his most recent series Vanity has been produced, commenced in 2003, and to date consists of twenty journeys to the centre of the lake where he photographs for weeks at a time in the vast and infinite landscape. Fredericks is not interested in documenting the literal forms of the landscape. He views the landscape as medium in itself which, when represented in a photograph, has the potential to convey the emotional quality of his experience and relationship to the lake."

“The mirror can be seen as emblematic of our obsession with ourselves, individually, and collectively. In the ‘Vanity’ series, rather than reflecting our own ‘surface’ image, the mirror is positioned to draw our gaze out and away from ourselves, into the environment, driving us towards an emotional engagement with light, colour and space”

Splash by Bleeblu

May 05, 2017 by Arseny Vesnin in Fashion, Photography, Portfolios, USA, 2017

Bleeblu is a portrait photographer based in Miami Beach but travels too much. He was born in the Philippines but spent most of his youth on an island in the Pacific called Kwajalein. Month ago he shared a photo on his heavy crowded account @bleeblu and it went viral

A post shared by Designcollector - 14 Years (@designcollector) on Apr 11, 2017 at 5:25am PDT

“A month ago I took a photo I had the idea the night before. I imagined a girl being held up by her incredibly long hair—like ridiculously long. Doubtful I’d find a model with hair as long as I envisioned so I just altered the idea to fit the photo shoot I was already doing.

I uploaded the photo and within 5 minutes can tell it was going to do really well. Just not 130,000 likes and 2,000 comments really well. I don’t know what I did or how it happened, but I’m glad.”

Neil Kryszak

April 19, 2017 by Arseny Vesnin in Photography, Portfolios, USA, 2017, Art

"Electronic music composer, producer, drummer and photographer Neil Kryszak believes that all art forms can communicate beautiful aesthetic values, as long as they are visually or audibly pleasing."

"After moving to Los Angeles, he began focusing on photography, inspired by the new surroundings and lifestyle. His pictures are characterized by surreal and exotic aesthetics, showing reflections of multicolored lights saturating the streets, architecture and the distant scenery, all fading into black. Led by intuition and trust, the instantaneous creative release and the ability to provoke through a frozen moment attracted Neil to photography. Especially the night time is very meditative to the artist. When it’s calm, there is a lot to imagine and to work with creatively, intrigued by adventure and mystery. Characterized by experimental and psychedelic art styles, the pictures also feature a 70s, 80s and 90s nostalgia.", text by Sarah Press

Human After All by Jan Kriwol and Markos R. Kay

April 17, 2017 by Arseny Vesnin in Digital Art, Portfolios, Photography, 2017

Human After All, a collaboration between artists Jan Kriwol and Markos R. Kay, juxtaposes CGI recreations of the human circulatory system with images of urban landscapes

For the series, Kriwol collaborated with London-based digital artist Markos Kay. “I described my vision to few CGI artists and all of them gave up,” he says. “When I described my idea to Markos he said ‘okay’ straight away. He then developed the technique for creating our guy and proposed his form and texture.”

InfraMunk - new Infrared Photography by GMUNK

April 03, 2017 by Arseny Vesnin in Photography, Portfolios, USA, 2017

Bradley G Munkowitz best known as epic designer GMUNK shares his new side project and by fact an ongoing series of Infrared Photography. "InfraMunk vs Tracy Arm Fjord" was created during Bradley's trip to Alaska where he toured and photographed the incomparable Tracy Arm Fjord

These photographs were quite unique, as he was equipped with a custom modified Full-Spectrum FujiFilm X-T1 IR, a grip of LifePixel Super-Color Infrared Filters and some Vintage Nikon Manual Focus lenses - together producing some fiercely psychedelic and experimental palettes that portrayed the scenery in an entirely new light

Surreal close-ups of model's lips shoot by Marius Sperlich eliminates the border between abstract and figurative photography. Tugging on the triggers of lust, Sperlich employs accessories as diverse as toy guns, strawberry jam, spaghetti, mirrors and and roses to take macro images that leave no detail uncovered.

If Rodchenko had Instagram back that days he definitely had to follow Serjios profile. With a maximum attention to details and totally twisted view of perspective, Serjios creates extraordinary shots of cityscapes that seem to exist only in imagination.

Karl Dmitri Bishop Photography

March 24, 2017 by Arseny Vesnin in Portfolios, Photography, United Kingdom, 2017

"Cambridge-based photographer Karl Dmitri Bishop creates surreal, somewhat mystical images that seem to come straight from another planet. His shots are highly constructed and processed, sometimes they feel rather like paintings then photos with an intangible quality of otherworldliness. With an ever growing audience, Dmitri Bishop leaves a sense of wonder and mystery with his magical work."

March 22, 2017 by Arseny Vesnin in Japan, Portfolios, Photography, Lifestyle, 2017

"Shot around central and southern Japan / Okinawa, the series by Gabriella Achadinha shows day and night photographs of spaces and individuals that stood out from the time there. Marlize Eckard has added her touch by creating the ‘fleeting impermanence’ via acrylic paint with additional strokes that create the smudging, lapsing memory."

Elena Kulikova immersed herself in a world of commercial photography as a model while simultaneously experimenting on her own in her 20s. Self-taught but mentored by well known photographers, Elena launched her photographic career in Amsterdam in 2006. Her feminine sensibility and creative processing push her photography to deepen the subjects she photographs.

Worth to mention that Elena is a resident of our Digital Decade art collaboration and took a part in London, 2016 exhibition "There is No Planet B" with the concept of "Imagine there is no contamination" briefly shown below.
