Le Gouffre (The Chasm) Animation

An inspiring tale about friendship, sacrifice and conquering the impossible. Le Gouffre is the first animated short film produced and directed by Lightning Boy Studio, a young creative team based in Montreal. The film tells the story of two spirited travelers who come across an incredibly wide chasm on their journey and decide to build a bridge to cross it. Released in February 2015, the project had first gained a lot of attention following the huge success of its Kickstarter campaign, which allowed the creators to finance the movie’s post-production. Many were impressed by the passion and determination of the small team of three animators, who spent more than two full years creating the 10-minute film.

Dark Matter by Jonathan Turner

A digital ode to artist Pierre Soulages. Last year in Rodez, southern France, 95-year-old French artist Pierre Soulages was honored with the opening of a rust-adorned museum in his name. Celebrated for an unconventional approach to painting using only black paint, artist manipulates the spectrum of light bouncing off the surfaces of his works, in turn conceiving a new shade of his own, "outrenoir" (meaning: “beyond black”).

Inspired by this abstract oeuvre, the New York-based visual artist and director Jonathan Turner creates an ode to Soulages, conceiving a hallucinogenic digital world that is scored by the maniacal beats of Dutch E. Germ.

One Second Animated Everyday

You might remember the mobile app we supported 2 years ago and still use it to create an endless archive of our lives by recording a second a day. Here is a guys (actually brothers) that went further and without the help of any app. Meet The Brothers McLeod and their award-winning animation "365". Greg animated one second of animation every day for the 365 days of the year 2013. There was no storyline, script or storyboard. The ideas come from things read, seen or experienced on the day, with a little artistic license for good measure. http://vimeo.com/83155234

Kismet Diner for your Christmas

Watch this short film, perfectly telling a Christmas Magic moments. "Sometimes you have to listen with your heart... One Saturday night, midway through an impromptu concert, she notices a customer she hasn't seen before with a look of complete disinterest on his face. Laura wouldn't usually mind, but with this guy, it's as though she wasn't even there. Who is he? And why can't Laura stop looking at him?" That's actually an ad of an ice-cream we missed two years ago, but just watch and enjoy the beautiful festive moments of your Christmas http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iz38FbEycms
