ZSO-NYC

Our dear friend and valuable collaborator Sara Blake (@hellozso) launched ZSO-NYC, a store branch of personal portfolio HelloZSO.

"I'm very excited to finally announce the launch of ZSO-NYC. This project has been over a year in the making, from initial illustrations, to sampling silks, to the photoshoot, to creating custom packaging and the printed lookbook. The launch of the Tantrum Scarf is what I hope to be the first of many more projects and products. The first edition was created in a very limited run of only 50 and comes with a printed booklet and signed certificate with your edition number. All photography was shot by my dear friend John Christenson, and I served as the reluctant model. This project has been such a wonderful experience. I hope you all enjoy and perhaps even pick up your own scarf", - says Sara

Anton Marrast

Gifted Russian illustrator Anton Marrast recently finished few new artworks that illustrate Gabriel Garcia Marquez stories. What I prefer in Anton's works is a perfect sense of surreal art mixed with deep thoughts of a subject and polished with awesome skills in digital techniques. We follow Anton's works since old times and were really happy to collaborate with him for our iPad Mag Zero last year. We also featured Anton works at OFFF 2011 (pity we will miss OFFF 2012 that happens in next two weeks).

Original Prints, T-shirts and other goodies are available for purchase on Anton's online store http://society6.com/Marrast

This project host more than a hundred of stunning cover arts that are two times worth than the original magazine cover. His next Covers vol 2 features free artwork mostly inspired by magazines but layered with personal wordings or common phrases (also inspired by music). Outside illustration world he is Creative Director at Grey Group and also has a personal design-related portfolio on Behance.

Contemporary Mythology by Caitlin Hackett

Caitlin Hackett’s artwork analyzes the boundaries that separate humans from animals. “[...] these boundaries are warped by new scientific data, mythology, history and religious beliefs alike, blurring the lines between us as science, religion and culture clash over what it is to be human, and thus, what separates us from the beasts of the wild,” states Hackett.
