Ugol lamp by Yaroslav Misonzhnikov

On the latest Behance Portfolio Reviews organized by Designcollector in Saint-Petersburg, young product designer (that's already a rare profession for Russia) Yaroslav Misonzhnikov shown us the lamp called "Ugol" (eng. "Corner"). "Plain form and performance is combined with unique mode of setting it up on a table, by the way already received a patent. All you need is a table angle and board of a standard thickness. A normal working table is usually from 1 to 2,5 cm thick. The lamp is putting on the angle and rests inclined by it’s weight, then the angle between lamp and the table depends on the thickness of the table itself. Ugol means “corner” In Russian language. The object is projected for recently founded by the designer himself Saint-Petersburg producer Imenno-design. The lamp will be realized in a limited edition and released in Saint-Petersburg and Moscow boutiques and also on-line in Imenno-design brand shop in the web."

Thanks for Swedish designers at People People for that chance.

Rick Owens Furniture

"Showing he is as skilled in dressing a room as he is in dressing a body, Rick Owens’ furniture is a pure extension of his standout aesthetic. Taking the same approach to their design as he does his clothes, the results are sculptural pieces that verge on art yet function as furniture. Utilizing a combination of textures from antlers to alabaster, it’s a collection of pure brutalist beauty." via Trendland

Philippe Starck's PIBAL an Urban Hybrid Bike/Scooter

Philippe Starck unveils the bike-scooter hybrid PIBAL for Bordeaux citizens. 3000 of the bikes are expected to be manufactured by Peugeot by the end of this year, and will be added to Bordeaux’s bicycle sharing program. The City PIBAL Streamer is basically a scooter and a bike compacted into one though the Bordelais (citizens of Bordeaux) are happy to have their very own custom-created public bike and no longer need to feel snubbed by metropolises like Paris and Copenhagen who got their own custom-created public bicycles a while ago.
