Nike hysteria with "Back to the Future II" iconic film starts in a new series of futuristic but real sneakers Nike MAG. Company will finally release in a production run of 1,500 pairs for eBay auction. All net proceeds from the sneaker’s sales being donated to the The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research to help eradicate an illness that has severely affected the lives of Fox and many across the world. Sculptor Anish Kapoor is designing a mobile concert hall to bring music and arts to the region of Japan hit by March's earthquake and tsunami.
The hall, seating up to 700 spectators, will be a "pneumatic structure" so that it can be inflated quickly with air.

Cinemetrics is a piece of data-visualisation software that breaks films down into various key elements, such as colour, speech or motion and places in a readable visual fingerprint.
The software was created by Frederic Brodbeck for his bachelor graduation project at the Royal Academy of Arts, and enables people to compare key elements of different films.

MÖBIUS - Federation Square A collaborative stop motion sculpture
Twenty-one large triangles animated by Melbourne, throughout Federation Square. MÖBIUS is a sculpture that can be configured into many cyclical patterns and behave as though it is eating itself, whilst sinking into the ground. The result is an optical illusion and a time-lapse of people interacting with the sculpture and moving through Melbourne's landmark location throughout the day.

Hugo Boss is using an interactive Youtube video to promote its latest fragrance, Hugo Just Different. The video, created by artist Marco Brambilla, enables a person to reveal content in the video by moving their head from side to side as they watch it.

NTGJ studio shows off a package design for TGTL (Think Global Taste Local is a food hunting company that aims to present the best gastronomic products from each country/region to the World.) The work was to draw three illustrations that represent three different European countries for a total of three cans of olive oil packed in one box. I did an illustration for a limited edition of one can of virgin olive oil. The work was made in collaboration with three designers: Mar Hernandez, Mauro De Donatis and Mario Belem

Never mind the upper of Reebok’s RealFlex shoe for Ora-ïto, the interest lies all in the sole. The sole is the most beautiful part of a trainer, says Ora-ïto. It’s there that the sense of movement and the graphic power is found. It’s like a landscape. It is exactly that idea that Ora-ïto has realised in the form of a pop art-inspired bas-relief work, a sculpture painting that echoes the 76 independent sensors on the sole of the RealFlex in mid-twist and undulation. The piece, which is produced by Candido Hermida, is made of Hi-Macs®, a cuttable, thermo-formable, stone-like bauxite/acrylic mix, chosen for its ability to offer one unbroken, seamless sheet for the 3m-wide work, and with the strength to take the considerable weight. My style of dress is more classic now but I still have my trainer collection and I’d love to do the sole of all the iconic sneaker soles this way,’ says Ora-ïto.

TOSAY.IT is a continuation and a large update of our past projects with public text posters once created by Dopludo Collective from StPete, Russia. The main idea of the project is to explore text, streets & internet as an artistic medium, to broadcast actual ideas that are usually ignored by mass media, or to comment on the issues that seem important to put up by the author of the text. In november 2010 TOSAY.IT was exposed in Moscow's activistic art gallery at Vinzavod. In upcoming August it is going to be represented in public space in the center of Amsterdam.
Audiowear is a series of musical jewelry inspired by idiophone and aerophone instruments and the acoustic quality of clay. The collection includes a trumpet bracelet, a guiro cuff with playing thimble, a whistle charm necklace, a pan-flute collar, a diamond shaped rattle bracelet, and colorful xylophone bangles. These objects were designed to create a vocabulary of sounds that could then be used for music production.

Nokia is trying to catch the wind of changes and after their decision to fire 7000 employees by 2013 (mostly all Symbian OS teams) they suddenly jumped over the bar and hanging on it with the help of the teeth. I really hope their newborn Nokia N9 will be a base to something new and fresh! Just take a look at the photos made by Laura Jul and read more details under the cut.
