Body Painting Artist Emma Hack

POP! explores Emma's Hack fascination with the pop art genre - a fun, modern day approach into the comic-inspired work of Roy Lichtenstein. Emma's heroines are not helpless however, they are strong women.

P.s. Emma is the artist behind the famous Goyte music video and the Car Crash image made of 17 painted bodies for South Australia's Motor Accident Commission.

Your Type of Book by Aurelie Maron

"Your Type of Book" is a student project from Aurelie Maron studying Digital Media at Griffith University in Brisbane, Australia. The book is a kind of a research of typography term through visual citations and quotes. "I decided to produce an alphabet of typography containing useful information related to a typographic term, a typographic artwork, a typographer and a typeface. In fact, the quote from Gerard Unger is what inspired me: "It is almost impossible to look and read at the same time: they are different actions." Every good typographer should have knowledge of both the art and science of typography and my aim in making this book was to create a source of inspiration and reference." Pity and due to copyrights issues this book can never be published. Don't hesitate to check all typography related project of Aurelie on http://www.aureliemaron.com/

Art of Jeremy Geddes

We are pleased to present "Exhale", a series of new paintings by Melbourne-based artist Jeremy Geddes. We posted him few times but he did few new works since than. "Exhale" is a series of 17 paintings rendered in meticulous detail, an arduous process that combines scrupulous observation, fine brushwork and delicate layers of glaze. Geddes’ work generates a tension between man-made environments in flux and the fragility of living bodies.

Josip Kelava

"As a Croatian born designer, I have lived most of my life in Australia’s design capital, Melbourne. My direction towards the design world connects with my passion for photography, my lust for typography and the thrill of creating something from nothing. When I think about Graphic Design, I feel as though it is everywhere. It is a mix of storytelling, craft, science and philosophy. The world is constantly changing and as a designer, I believe I need to adapt. Learning new techniques and stepping outside my comfort zone is how I want to grow as a designer." - Josip Kelava

Morphe by Aesop and Lucy McRae

Australian skincare brand Aēsop, recognised a kindred sensibility in Lucy McRae’s work and commissioned her to conceive a short film, ‘Morphē’. Here, McRae transforms an old Amsterdam church into a meticulously ordered space referencing Aēsop’s laboratory. She describes her film inspired chiefly by nineteenth-century scientist Hermann von Helmholtz where ‘Everything’, wrote Helmholtz, ‘is an event on the skin’. ‘At the edge of this world, the skin and hair play key roles for the female specimen fortunate enough to be on the receiving end of a new kind of super-sensory beauty treatment.

RONE

Rone’s posters are some of the most iconic in Australia, hiding under overpasses throughout Melbourne. He is renowned for the stylised images of "girls" faces – it wouldn’t be a stretch to say that he’s had more posters in his home town’s streets than any other artist in history. Art of Robin Eley

”My paintings are essays of observation, born from a relentless examination of my mileu. Rather than shout, my paintings speak softly. Their messages, both personal and profound, audible only to those who make the effort to listen. By documenting time, I attempt to slow its quickening pace; such that for the briefest of moments there is just the viewer, my painting and the space between.” — Robin Eley
