Alexandre Monntoya

”I am a Colombian artist living in Spain for nine years. During this time I walked by several color landscapes. At first I was speaking with typical colorful tropical climate, then plunged into the chaos of not knowing where to go, I went into the world of gray, and from this base have been shaping and warmth to the colors and shapes now teach.” – Alexandre Monntoya https://www.facebook.com/alexandre.monntoya

40 Days of Dating

I really enjoyed the speech of famous designer Jessica Walsh (a significant part of Sagmeister&Walsh) during my OFFF visit . She was talking about numerous project and mentioned one that was secret at that moment - "40 Days of Dating". Two good friends (Jessica and Tim Goodman) with opposite relationship problems found themselves single at the same time. As an experiment, they dated for 40 days. Beside the psychological and other logical and not so logical parts of the recently started project the interesting part of it that each day was decorated with illustrations from other famous artist worth to see and explore during next month on fortydaysofdating.com

Melting portraits by Ben DeHaan

Ben DeHaan‘s “Uncured” series captures the decay of a printed photograph as a result of the removal of the UV light used to instantly dry the ink on the page and cure the image. These portraits appear as if they are melting and evoke a surreal aesthetic, creating a completely unique visual experience that questions the idea of simple replication

“Uncured” explores the expectations of photographic image in a digitally ubiquitous era. A digital photograph is simply ink sprayed on substrates to create an exact replication of a digital file. I’m interested in breaking down the image to its inherent properties to reflect on photography’s role in constructing its significance.

Vault49

I was happy enough to listen guys from Vault49 on scene at OFFF earlier last month and this was really inspiring to see them doing many of "3D" or "digital" things by hands and with low-fi paper models. Less 3D more hands - that's what we get from Vault49, London born studio moved to New York for new opportunities.

Emilio Barnes

Emilio Barnes aka Ultrafry is an artist from London specializing in black and white handcrafted pattern design, characters and lettering. 'A lot of my recent work is influenced by my personal experiences of the ‘Sleep Paralysis’ phenomenon - a condition of sleep disorder, night terrors and hallucinations; a case of which I frequently suffer from. Other elements of my artwork are inspired by Eastern cultural design, all things fantasy, astronomy, girls and confectionary.'
