Marks & Spencer's 2014 Christmas Advert

Magic and Sparkle are out transforming Christmas on behalf of Marks & Spencer. Moving Pictures completed over a hundred visual effects shots in RKCR/Y&R’s 2014 Christmas campaign for M&S, directed by Philippe Andre through Independent Films. A cheeky fairy named ‘Magic’ and her fledgling cohort ‘Sparkle’ take to the skies over Christmas to transform it with the help of M&S, swapping a dull alarm clock for a brassiere, revamping a drab wardrobe into a clothesline of glittering dresses and bringing two lovers together.

Chris Labrooy’s Fantasy Vehicles in “Tales of Auto Elasticity”

UK graphic designer and artist Chris Labrooy riffs on custom car culture in his latest digital illustration series, “Tales of Auto Elasticity.” A follow-up to last year’s “Auto Aerobics,” in which Labrooy placed his bendy, sculptural low riders in a city park, “Tales of Auto Elasticity” shows pick-up trucks with yogic flexibility bending to extreme degrees in a rural parking lot. via Hi-Fructose

Gareth Pugh Spring/Summer 2015 Collection

When it comes to showcasing Gareth Pugh fashion, I leave all the work behind and sit down to write this in a onebreathe. Hence the new Spring/Summer 2015 collection deeply reminds me the work of Leon Bakst but imagine he met Nosferatu or someone from the dark side of Pagan mythology, deep, dark and captivating. Gareth Pugh caused a stir for S/S 15 by eschewing his usual slot on the Paris Fashion Week schedule and kicking off New York Fashion Week with an immersive live experience, made in collaboration with Lexus. The event featured three short films that combined Pugh’s designs with performances by models, choreographed by Wayne McGregor. Filmmaker and artist Andrew Thomas Huang served as creative director. SHOWstudio is proud to exclusively release the films - Megalith, Chaos, and Ascension - alongside a gallery of images that show off Pugh's S/S 15 collection in detail.

Sainsbury's Christmas 2014

Just in time of celebrating the 100th Anniversary of The First World War, UK largest retail chain Sainsbury released its beautiful cinematography aimed to remember people about peace. It's totally sick that we still don't have it on Earth.

AKQA - Clerkenwell Offices

We are obsessed with awesome interior examples and here is the new one to explore. Amos and Amos have recently completed the design of a new office in Clerkenwell, London for global ideas and innovation company AKQA. Amos and Amos have referenced London’s historic docks and warehouses for the interiors of new London offices designed for global ideas and innovation agency AKQA. Amos and Amos rose to the challenge of working with a client with exceptionally high standards and a willingness to take risks in order to achieve something original. The result is a richly layered and textured space where almost everything has been custom made – a unique working environment for AKQA in the world of often standardised office design.

Ajaz Ahmed, Founder and CEO of AKQA said: “Amos and Amos have created a soulful new home for our team in London. AKQA’s new space encourages collaboration, creativity and agility. It is a workspace where creativity abounds and represents the adaptive and flexible way in which our teams create.”

Andy Lee

Andy Lee is father of two wonderful girls, Creative Director, film maker, obsessive photographer, painter and manic doodler.

I've been taking pictures most of my life, but started it a little more obsessively about ten years ago when i was filming a documentary for a charity in Ethiopia. I had an old Hasselblad film camera with me and between scenes I started to photograph everything around me. From that moment on I was hooked. The joy I still get from seeing an image projected onto ground glass, or the smell of developer is enough to keep me shooting with a smile on my face.

Digital Romantics by Mads Perch

Mads Perch is a wonderful master of light. He not only photographs sensual portraits beautifully, but also can manipulate projections with finesse. Working mostly as a commercial photographer, Perch together with art director Gemma Fletcher has become used to producing unfussy images quickly and efficiently. He has a sensitive style that would have no problem fitting in with the digital romantics.

This is a genre where artists are harnessing digital technologies in their search for the sublime: representing manifestations of Romanticism in the digital.

Dom Sebastian is a 19 year old London based designer. I personally liked his glitchy "Holographic Melt Series" "It’s not very often that you find a fashion designer who branches out into other fields within the creative spectrum and conquers them all. Alex Chinneck: Take my lightning but don’t steal my thunder

Master of illusions Alex Chinneck’s latest mind-boggling public art installation is on show in what must surely be the spiritual home of his craft; one of the busiest piazzas in London and its theatrical hub. His floating building follows on from a sliding house, upside down house and many other puzzling optical illusions. Called Take my lightning but don’t steal my thunder, Alex says: “The titles are born from a kind of daydreaming. Everything we do now is extremely planned and co-ordinated. And I don’t feel like an artist anymore. A title is a rare opportunity to do something which feels slightly bohemian!”

As for the thinking behind Take my lightning but don’t steal my thunder, Alex muses that “there are things which always come together but are always slightly apart.” In terms of the building itself, “the shape of the crack was reminiscent of the lightning bolt. It’s a very cataclysmic scene.”

LDF - The First Law of Kipple

Our interior editor Anna promised us to make a little coverage of London Design Festival. Meanwhile we found an interesting installation of Dan Tobin Smith. Entitled 'The First Law of Kipple' in reference to Phillip K Dick's 1968 novel 'Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep'—that later went on to inspire Blade Runner—the installation features thousands upon thousands of objects swamping the studio on every flat surface, arranged (with great appeal to the OCD-inclined) in a stunning spectrum of colours. Much like the fictional post-apocalyptic world that is haunted by plastic 'kipple,' the objects swarm all throughout the exhibition space—following viewers up stairs and into the toilet cubicle. Falling Icons by Ordinary Architecture

Unsuspecting trekkers in the Hollywood Hills encounter a huge, three dimensional letter ‘H’ along their path. A few steps later, they discover a viewfinder striped like a rockslide warning sign, through its lens it appears the 'H' is missing from the Hollywood sign. Continuing up the trail, more missing letters and viewfinders are discovered until finally there is nothing left of the sign at all…The project "Falling Icons" has been done by Ordinary Architecture falling-icons91
