The Digital Decade 3: The Final

To celebrate the 12th Anniversary of Designcollector Network we decided to run a special collaboration "The Digital Decade III: His Majesty The Glitch" that we divided and held in two phases during this April and May.First, together with our Exclusive Partner Depositphotos invited 12 Digital Artists to come up with the work reflecting the fragility of our Digital Age. Second, we did an Open Call for Arms and ran the first ever Glitch Art Competition that gathered around 30 diverse artists around the world. The best 3 works selected by our professional jury including Hector Ayuso (OFFF), Vladimir Shreyder (Glitche App), Tanya Smirnova (Depositphotos) and me Arseny Vesnin, as well as judged by 12 Artists we selected for the Phase 1.

You can see all 15 works on Digitaldecade.net now, and some of lucky you can see the posters live at OFFF Festival, Barcelona, 28-30 May.

Photo Collages by Lola Dupre

"Lola Dupre manipulates photographs sans photoshop, cutting and pasting them into new images entirely by hand. Last time we covered her on the blog, she had taken a break from her figurative works to concentrate on monochromatic, Op Art-inspired abstract designs. But with her latest body of work, Dupre has returned to portraiture, this time unveiling a new body of work in full color. Apart from her personal projects, she recently created a fashion editorial for the Spanish fashion magazine Vein using her signature style". via Hi-Fructose

"Conceived in collaboration with Warren Du Preez and Nick Thornton Jones for Creative Review’s Annual Creative Awards. The capture side of the project was a one day shoot in Holborn studios London with FBFX Digital scanning, Frank Benhamou styling, Rebecca Louise Law creating floral installations, Raphael Salley on hair direction, and Ninni Nummela on makeup. An original music composition by Salvador Breed and Stijn Van Beek took a couple of weeks, as did the editing by Steve Ackroyd at Final Cut London."

City Layouts by Luis Dilger

"Topography, architecture and traffic routes give every city a unique structure. These conditions create the typical and individual inner structure of a city.I didn't only want to show these structures in the conventional way from above but also including the exact three-dimensionality of topography and buildings - a real world visualisation. Google's OpenStreetMap data enabled me to visualize the satellite-based information using DEM Earth in Cinema 4D. The results are some extraordinary views of large capitals and small towns." Last Voyage Game

Inspired (or not) by the most beautiful game Monument Valley guys from SEMIDOME released the LAST VOYAGE. A cinematic experience inspired by science-fiction movies, each chapter is visually unique and explores an original concept with completely new game mechanics. Go through psychedelic portals, explore grand minimal forms, solve mind-bending puzzles or race against the stars. While these chapters form a continuous narrative, the players are constantly surprised with new ways to interact as they seamlessly transition from one chapter to another.
