We have not been into good graphic design posts lately and promise to reveal more inspiring projects in 2016. Here is a group of Sydney based designers transform the low communication of local animal shelter by helping "Sydney Dogs & Cats Home" to get a new visual language. A versatile identity system was put in place to work across all manner of communications, with a boldness and clarity of message, whilst making sure playfulness was embedded throughout.

We were hooked by the simplicity of inner space sending us to sunny streets of Valencia, where Lindsay got his inspiration 20 years ago.

Anna-Wili's sculptures (Instagram) are stitched together from archival cotton rag. Her works explore the organic qualities and resistance of paper, generating a tension between the complex realism of form and the limitations and economy of the materials used. They represent animal life in an immediate way that conveys the energy, movement and physical character of different creatures. Her aim is to engineer a moment of contact with nature in a way that emphasises both the startling differences and similarities of human and animal forms and consciousness.

Lucidlines Tattoos

"Sam Chirnside (previously) is an Australian born graphic artist, working between New York City and Melbourne.Informed by the notion of altered states of consciousness, Sam’s work is an exercise in contradictions of order and incomprehension. Collage elements, oil-like pastel distortions optical illusions and esoteric iconography contrast with a balanced composition. In combination with an evident interest in ancient civilizations and sacred geometry (a discipline that popularises proof of cosmic significance, divine design intervention and above all, order) the resultant body of work is as close to a disorientation of the senses as design can achieve – and that is just how he likes it."

WWF Just

To help spread WWF’s sustainability message in a new way Leo Burnett Sydney helped people rethink how they consume by creating a range products called just. 100% natural and packaged in recycled and biodegradable materials, each was an alternative to a mass-produced product, free from plastic containers. Made available at produce markets, just reminded people that they were already buying many of the ingredients they need to live more sustainably. A dedicated microsite also housed a series of simple and light-hearted ‘how-to’ videos to show how easy it is to use the products while promoting WWF’s core aim of creating a world where humanity and nature live in harmony.
