Russia-raised world-based illustrator and artist Karina Eibatova shares her latest visual affairs and explorations with us. Whether it is commercial wall art for a hotel on Sri Lanka, or personal research on human-less nature, Karina leaves a viewer their personal way to interpret and interact with an artwork.
Russian illustrator Karina Eibatova (you may remember her by latest work for Hotel on Rhodes Island) decided to make your year 2017 much brighter than previous one and you can't disagree with that fact. "Best Wishes, 2017" is her new initiative where you can enter and preorder a beautiful print and a scarf to deliver you each month with a challenging lifestyle message next year. Karina spent 5 years in creating this project so at the end you will enjoy your full 12-pieces season collection of her artworks and scarves or even few of them if you book a season or two of it on Kickstarter page
“The idea is to share my art through the clothing and interactive poster in which a person could write a goal of the month, inspired by the artwork. The project is created to inspire and motivate people, to make art less elitarian, to share a collaborative vibe of an artist and a musician.”
“I was asked to create a large scale drawing for the tiles of the hotel in a restaurant and a reception area. The hotel Casa Cook is situated in Greece, Rhodes and the theme of the decorative drawing was jungles. My task was to create jungles and integrated animals and a few unusual and magical half-half creatures.
The design of the hotel was created by the German studio. I was working in a collaboration together with Stefan Grüner an art director of Lambs & Lions Network, based in Berlin. ”

Karina Eibatova (Eika) from Saint-Petersburg is a part of quite heavy graphic design artillery Dopludo collective released a set of music album covers worth to view and enjoy.
We spotted a nice projects made by Egor Kraft and Karina Eibatova who are together with Lesha Galkin share Dopludό Collective. They were commissioned by Sydney's shopping center and went to Australia to work on murals for their new stores. The way they explore and use the Space metaphors in their work made us to post another (and this time a motion) piece by Egor Kraft - "Beyond The Surface".

"The video is a visual metaphor of existential freedom, predominance of essence over existence, and conditionality of boundaries it also has a sculptural dimension related to the evolution of form. The space as a black absolute presented as an allegory of authentic freedom as well as the narrative links to the discourse of how the consciousness and existence are related to each other."

TOSAY.IT is a continuation and a large update of our past projects with public text posters once created by Dopludo Collective from StPete, Russia. The main idea of the project is to explore text, streets & internet as an artistic medium, to broadcast actual ideas that are usually ignored by mass media, or to comment on the issues that seem important to put up by the author of the text. In november 2010 TOSAY.IT was exposed in Moscow's activistic art gallery at Vinzavod. In upcoming August it is going to be represented in public space in the center of Amsterdam.
