Nina Kravitz - Live at Coachella 2019

July 30, 2019 by Arseny Vesnin in 2019

“Tucked under the hangar-like canopy of the Mojave tent, Kraviz had recreated the layout of her Russian apartment on stage, complete with a massive leather sofa, full-length mirror, and a fully set kitchen table… Kraviz's set was a radical shift in energy for a stage... It was a show that felt intimate, with subtle nuance to each deliberate musical shift. It was a set that felt like it would have been more at home within the walls of an art gallery or DIY warehouse venue rather than headlining a stage at one of the world's most popular mainstream music festivals.“ via PaperMag

Gallant - Sharpest Edges

June 29, 2019 by Arseny Vesnin in 2019

Directed by Bennet Johnson

“Gallant is an artist inspiring strength through poetic self reflection and redefining RnB through introspective lyrics; he showcases the power that resides in vulnerability. He is a force to be reckoned with, through playing with Sir Elton John and being nominated for a Grammy by the young age of 27, everyone who has heard the sweet symphony of his voice, knows Gallant is a star on the rise.“ - Flaunt Magazine

Synecdoche Montauk - Wherever You Are

June 26, 2019 by Arseny Vesnin in 2019

In traditional Russian culture we are afraid of the face of death, we are afraid to talk about it, to think, to avoid the possibility of becoming a witness or to disturb the memories of loss. But this is a natural, important part of our life, which we all have touched or will face across one day. It seems to us that then everything will go out, lose color, meaning. But it is not.

Equateur - Pelican

June 11, 2019 by Arseny Vesnin in 2019

After a first album "Burn The Sun", released 1 year ago and hailed by critics, EQUATEUR (aka Charles Rocher - Parisian singer) come back with “PELICAN”, his first single, produced by Tie Break Records.

Discover on exclusively in « Parisien 5: The Art de Vivre Issue » major compilation of Kitsuné ( Music Label & Clothes), PELICAN is a French-Pop title, mixing acoustic and electronic sounds. A dive into the dream world of a colorful jungle.

This tropical trip is accompanied by a Remix EP with on board: ANORAAK (Valerie), NEUS, PALMBOMEN (GTA, Non Records), CASPIAN POOL (Producer of The Pirouettes). Released on June 28 to celebrate the summer.

For this exotic odyssey, EQUATEUR unveils his new animation clip with illustrations signed Adrien Blanchat (Chromeo, Justice, Kavinsky ...), released on June 11th.

A boarding pass for an enchanting and solar trip.

EQUATEUR is a Parisian artist whose musical universe oscillates between two musical hemispheres: electro pop and synth wave.

It is the name chosen by Charles Rocher, author, composer and producer to draw his imaginary line between retro-futuristic, hypnotic and melancholic sounds.

His first album "Burn The Sun", marks the entrance of EQUATEUR on the French electro scene. Hailed by critics Radio Nova compares it even to Kavinsky and M83, with titles like "The Lava" and "Haunted". He collaborates with other artists on "Absolut" feat. Sophie Tith and "93.2" feat. 86 Joon.

Nowadays EQUATEUR returns to new latitudes with a first single in French: PELICAN. Mixed by Stéphane "Alf" Briat (Air, Phoenix, The Pirouettes...) and mastered by Alex Gopher (The Blaze, Breakbot, Eddy Pretto ...).

Catnapp x Modeselektor - The Mover

June 09, 2019 by Arseny Vesnin in 2019

Following up her first upfront single „Down in the Basement“, Catnapp is introducing her second single taken from her debut album „Break“ (out on July 5th).

„The Mover“, featuring Modeselektor, is a slow burning, bass-heavy song about standing up for yourself and showing strength. It opens with the line „Don’t you tell me what to do“, an eternal credo for both Catnapp and Modeselektor, two generations of maverick electronic artists.

Flying Lotus - More

June 04, 2019 by Arseny Vesnin in 2019

Taken from Flamagra new music video for the song “More” was directed by Shinichiro Watanabe and is a pure animation trip

“Watanabe had this to say about their connection - “Flying Lotus’ sound and Anderson Paak’s rap on this track are just incredible. Their work greatly inspired me to direct this music video for them with some of the finest anime talents in Japan. Flying Lotus is such an amazing talent, so it is a great honor to work with Flying Lotus again after our first collaboration on BLADE RUNNER: BLACK OUT 2022. We like working with each other so much that we are already collaborating on another series project of mine called CAROLE & TUESDAY. Our creative team worked really hard to create this video for Lotus and we hope we did justice to this wonderful new track. ”
