Belgian choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui & music artist and director Yoann Lemoine have released a dance film around Yoann’s musical alter ego Woodkid’s song ‘Land of all’ from the motion picture score of Desierto, a 2015 Mexican thriller directed by Jonas Cuaron starring Gael García Bernal. This is the first time Woodkid and Cherkaoui have worked together. Co-directed by both artists and produced by Iconoclast, the film displays a duet between Drew Jacoby and Matt Foley of Royal Ballet Flanders, based on Cherkaoui’s 2015 original ballet creation ‘Fall’.
Does the world need another EP made for people to dance to at 3am? Probably not. Especially if you look at it the way Danton Eeprom does. “I like my club tunes, I make no bones about it, but my idea of a good dancefloor tune has evolved dramatically over the years to the point I can't be sure it makes any sense to anyone else but me anymore.” His new track Kissing in Traffic brings bouncing, EQ'd bass lines in and out of earshot while a gentle 120 bpm rhythm wiles away, accentuated by melodic top line hooks daydreaming through the tapestry. "Kissing In Traffic" is a postcard written and sent to himself the last time he visited that place so he could look at it when it all becomes a bit much; a true memento, and a genuine Souvenir.

The Fader Magazine: "Speaking to this idea, director Yoann Lemoine described his creative process for us: "I used a DIY 3D scan system that rebuilds models from multiple still images, and what we call camera mapping, and played with this material in my computer. The reality pictured in this video only exists in the computer I used to create the piece. I loved the idea of humans golden like objects, like pieces of furniture. I treated them with the same precious care we treat Jewels. I wanted to question the limits of incarnation, of organic versus digital, creating a piece that was equally beautiful and intense. Equally organic and digital." citing The Fader
