They say you should observe a piece of art deeply to understand its concept and interpret it in your own way, we think that Jean-Paul Frenay took this idea and twisted it into something even bigger than just an interpretation. He made sure to create an introspective “sarcastic” adventure.

An inspiring tale about friendship, sacrifice and conquering the impossible. Le Gouffre is the first animated short film produced and directed by Lightning Boy Studio, a young creative team based in Montreal. The film tells the story of two spirited travelers who come across an incredibly wide chasm on their journey and decide to build a bridge to cross it. Released in February 2015, the project had first gained a lot of attention following the huge success of its Kickstarter campaign, which allowed the creators to finance the movie’s post-production. Many were impressed by the passion and determination of the small team of three animators, who spent more than two full years creating the 10-minute film.

"Costa Dvorezky paints human figures with broad, luxurious brushstrokes that leave traces of dripping paint throughout his work. Though characters are at the center, Dvorezky prioritizes his expressionistic painting style over creating a narrative. Backgrounds melt away into abstract markings that transport his men and women into an imaginary space where they appear to defy gravity. Their bodies float, swing, and tumble with the levity and grace of trained acrobats and dancers." via Hi-Fructose

Love this awesome glitch artworks from Adam Lupton
Canadian artist Adam Lupton's gaze explores psychological and sociological struggles in modern society. Painting in oil, blurring lines between realism and expressionism helps Lupton probe the internal and external dialogue faced in his multi-directional narratives. His recent work pits moments of choice against the visualization of their outcomes: temporal planes coexisting on a singular surface.
