“We’ve had an interesting conversation with Marcus about krumping and how Marcus and i were in love with the “Raised by Krump“ documentary by Maceo Frost (which heavily inspired this project ).
Marcus shared a couple of personal stories , how Krump saved him from depression and dealing with his father’s passing. He uses Krumping as therapy and even teaches Krump to young teenagers to keep them away from the streets and gang violence”

'Hollywood Reloaded Brigitte Bardot' by Bran Symondson & Terry O'Neill, 2019

Hollywood Re-loaded at HOFA Gallery

HOFA Gallery
September 26, 2019 by Arseny Vesnin in 2019

HOFA Gallery presents Terry O'Neill CBE and Bran Symondson, two hugely accomplished, and ground-breaking photographers from different eras, in a collaboration of a provocative new collection aptly called 'Hollywood Re-loaded', to be unveiled at Annabel’s, London, on 30 September 2019

Hollywood Re-loaded' is a bold and brash reinvention of Terry O'Neill's portraits of Hollywood icons posing with guns. Portraits of stars like Michael Caine, Brigitte Bardot and Roger Moore, each with sleek firearm in hand, are pockmarked by bullets fired by ex-Special Forces turned artist and reportage photographer, Bran Symondson, using the same gun as in each portrait. Guns and the violence they symbolize become subjects, displacing Hollywood stars and the glorified ethos they mediate as well as create.

Inspired by the changing perception of guns and the reverberating conversation about gun violence around the world, 'Hollywood Re-loaded' is a timely addition to both artists’ repertoires. Classic works by Terry O’Neill get a second life unlike their first as Bran Symondson bravely inhabits the space where being a photographer and a soldier meet. Both, he rightly observes, “…are looking intensely for the moment”.

September 16, 2019 by Arseny Vesnin in 2019

The Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (National Chamber of Italian Fashion) presents Hotel MFW, the latest fashion film directed and produced by the Milan-based creativity factory The Blink Fish.

Shot to celebrate Milan Fashion Week S/S 2020 (17-23 September, 2019), Hotel MFW sees several rooms of the Mandarin Oriental hotel in Milan brimming with unique guests on the eve of Milan Fashion Week. Championing inclusion, diversity and uniqueness, these values form the central theme of the film and are strongly promoted by the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana.

SEED SYSTEM by Ilhwa Kim

Ilhwa Kim to début “Seed system” solo exhibition at HOFA London

25 September to 6 October 2019, 10am - 7pm daily

View fullsize vox-ilhwa-kim4.png
View fullsize vox-ilhwa-kim1.png

Contemporary Asian artist, Ilhwa Kim, will have a 2-week Solo Show titled ‘Seed System’ at HOFA London from 25 September to 6 October. It will be her third solo exhibition in London after ‘Sensory Portraits’ in 2018. Ilhwa Kim is known for creating avantgarde, intricate paper art by masterfully combining sculpting and painting techniques.

‘Seed System’ promises to be a remarkable show as Ilhwa Kim will premiere a new collection of works that mark a shift in focus from macro to micro seed universes. Her new collection, called ‘Seed School’, revels in the particular uniqueness of each seed as a universe in itself. In ‘Seed School’, each seed is artfully laid bare, revealing the lines, circles and rolls from which it acquires its distinct qualities. The intricate symmetry of these new works and their geometric colour compositions have a sense of order that soothe even as they fascinate the mind. In this way, the micro and macro seed universes are similar though entirely unmistakable.

Just in Cyber

August 19, 2019 by Arseny Vesnin in 2019

Just in Cyber is an agency that forms an eSports niche in Russia. Right now, it is still only a foundation of a very promising market; the company wants to make major brands present in Russian industry.

The identity is deeply emotional, the focus is shifted towards the interaction experience. Visual language is based on elements that are equal in nature; there is no logo in a conventional sense of the word—it is a graphics library that forms a variable pattern. It is a reference to visual thinking through the hieroglyphic system, a contrast of geometry, punk and traditional visual culture.

For that project, we fixed basic principles of visual communication and elements of graphic code, created corporate lettering in English and katakana, arranged a color palette and corporate font, and designed social networks, landing pages, merchandise, and guidelines.

While presenting the case, we decided to support the emotionality and created a video without a single branded media in order to transmit the spirit, the core, the essence of the project.
