BANKS - Gemini Feed Official Video

August 16, 2016 by Arseny Vesnin in TOP 2016, 2016

The album's first music video for "Fuck With Myself" found BANKS licking a mannequin replica of herself and lighting it on fire. Today, she reveals the second music video from the album, for "Gemini Feed." Directed by Philippa Price, the new clip is equally as highly stylized and sadomasochistic as the previous video, with numerous shots of the artist writhing around in ropes and leather masks amidst moody red lights.

Sofi Tukker - Drinkee

August 14, 2016 by Arseny Vesnin in 2016

Bongos, guitar and plenty of cowbell. New York electro-pop duo "Sofi Tukker" Sophie Hawley-Weld and Tucker Halpern embrace it all. Take “Drinkee”, their first-ever release. Inspired by Brazilian poet Chacal, it’s sung in Portuguese and is a hedonistic fusion of just about everything fun you’d want to hear on a dancefloor. The rest of Soft Animals follows its lead spectacularly.

Massive Attack - The Spoils ft. Hope Sandoval

August 09, 2016 by Arseny Vesnin in 2016

"Massive Attack’s recent single “The Spoils” [ft. Hope Sandoval] now has a video. It stars Cate Blanchett, while John Hillcoat—known for helming The Road, Lawless, and The Proposition—directed. The video is an intricately lighted study of Blanchett’s face, which undergoes a slow, unnerving transformation." via Pitchfork

Phantogram - You Don't Get Me High Anymore

July 22, 2016 by Arseny Vesnin in TOP 2016, 2016

The electronic duo Is back, as brooding as ever, and elevating their visuals to new heights. Filmed in the Salton Sea, long since dried up, the video sees band members Sarah Barthel and Josh Carter walk amongst deserted homes as motocross bikers fly through the air and digitized waves reach epic heights. There's also plenty of unexplained latex involved. The music video's dark undertones come courtesy of director Grant Singer, who has spent the last year working with The Weeknd and Ariana Grande.

"You Don't Get Me High Anymore" is the lead single off Phantogram's forthcoming album, Three.

Trim - "RPG" produced by James Blake, directed by Natalia Stuyk

July 19, 2016 by Arseny Vesnin in 2016

During one of my creative talks at a festival I was faced with a question "Why there is no female motion artists featured in your mashup?", being a feminist I was so much frustrated with this awkward moment of saluting male-generated industry. Bless we have projects like GIF (Girls in Film) we I spotted freshly done music video produced by James Blake for TRIM and directed by ultra talented London-based artist Natalia Stuyk (previously)
