I decided to subtract a lot of the rhetoric that I used to express myself. I pulled away from the bubbles and decoration which was on me, just me being myself, I took out the colors on my canvas to meet my raw self. Through this series of processes, I tried to look at myself, who was in a deeper place, that I ignored, as who I am. I want to accept it. I believe that my gaze will be able to face others without judging, and accept them as who they are.” — Hana Ju
